Pa's gray eyes turned golden, a cruel smirk spreading across his face. "So, you've figured me out, have you? That's what I love about the Taeyang clan. You're a bunch of smart, quick-witted fellows."
I stepped back, my heart pounding so hard it echoed in my ears. "But you had a childhood and everything?"
He nodded as the chains binding him snapped, freeing him to stand tall. "My avatar got to experience a full life of its own. But in the end, the body belonged to me." He placed a hand on his chest as his hair shifted to a dark blue. "Although, I must admit, your words got even me feeling a bit emotional. I fear reuniting with him might dilute my control over my own emotions. Perhaps allowing him to experience life and form his own bonds and opinions was a mistake. A good experiment, but one that has led to me becoming more attached to these people. Especially you, Vadi."
