Takao had hidden himself not far away, quietly watching the group. His eyes settled on Kosuke and Yuki, and it was clear that their determination was unshakable. He thought to himself, "Looks like I won't need to give them a lecture about staying motivated." He noticed that Yuto was just as determined as the others, even though he didn't seem as excited. Takao considered, "Yuto might have his own reasons for being motivated. If he's not as enthusiastic outwardly, I'll need to help him find his inner drive."
Seeing Yuto return to his meditation, the rest of the team followed suit, engaging in their own moments of quiet reflection. This was their way of processing the valuable lessons shared by their sensei. After a few minutes had passed, Takao appeared from his hiding spot and spoke up, saying, "Now that you've properly warmed up your bodies, it's time to move forward. Actually, I think it's a good idea to talk about your training schedule." He explained that from 5 to 9 am in the mornings, they would focus on physical training, followed by a break. Between 10 am and 12 pm, the emphasis would be on improving teamwork and related skills. After lunch, their afternoons would be dedicated to their specialized areas, with some room for adjustments as needed.
After that, Takao told them to have ration bars. He explained that these bars had different kinds of good things in them that their bodies need to stay strong. He wanted them to eat the bars to get used to them and know they're useful.
When they all had their ration bars, Takao started another training part. This time, they were learning about how to be a good team and work together.
During the teamwork training session, Takao guided them through various exercises designed to strengthen their ability to work together effectively. He emphasized the importance of communication, trust, and understanding among team members.
One activity involved solving puzzles as a group. Each puzzle required different team members to contribute their unique skills and perspectives. This helped them realize the power of combining their strengths to overcome challenges.
Takao also organized team-building games that encouraged cooperation and coordination. One game required them to navigate through an obstacle course blindfolded, with only verbal instructions from their teammates to guide them. This exercise highlighted the significance of clear communication and active listening.
Another aspect of the training involved role-playing scenarios where they had to make quick decisions as a team. They faced simulated challenges that required them to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure. Through these scenarios, they learned to adapt, collaborate, and manage time effectively.
As the training progressed, Takao observed their interactions and provided constructive feedback. He pointed out instances where they excelled and areas where they could improve. This feedback was instrumental in helping them understand each other better and refine their teamwork skills. After teamwork training completed at 12 pm he gave them ration bars again to fill their stamina.
Then, Takao looked at Yuki and asked, "Hey Yuki, can you tell me why you had that paper tag for throwing stuff?"
Yuki said, "Oh, that thing? Yuto gave it to me. He said I could use it when it's helpful."
Takao turned to Yuto and asked, "Yuto, where did you get that paper tags from?"
Yuto said, "I didn't buy it or get it from somewhere. I made it by myself."
Takao looked surprised and asked more questions, "You made it? Did you learn fuinjutsu? And how many of these paper tags can you make?"
Yuto said, "Yes, I learned about it from the library. There were many different types of seals, and I studied some of them. But making the seals is tough and it costs money, especially since weapons can be expensive. Also, when the size is reduced to fit in the seal, it can store less compared to carrying it normally. There's another seal that can store a jutsu, but there's a big limitation. Only the person who made it can use it, and it only works for three days. After that time, it's just like any other piece of paper."
Takao responded, "Even though it's costly, it's a good idea to make some just in case. If you think it's needed, go ahead and use them. As for jutsu storing, I've heard about it. But, like you said, it comes with significant limits. Not many people find it easy to study fuinjutsu. However, if you're able to create these seals, it can really enhance your strength. Practice it seriously. Before going on missions, it can be really helpful to have some of these prepared."
Kosuke chimed in, "I think it's a cool idea to have those seals. We might encounter situations where they could save us some trouble."
Yuto nodded, "Yeah, I agree. I'll work on making a few, especially for tricky situations."
Takao then changed the topic, saying, "Now, let's discuss your specializations. Kosuke and Yuto, you're focusing on kenjutsu, which is using swords in battle. Yuto and Kosuke will practice their kenjutsu here."
Takao continued, "And Yuki, your specialization is taijutsu, which means using your body and hand-to-hand combat. For you, Yuki, this will be your main fighting style. So, it's important to train in it extensively."
Yuki nodded enthusiastically, "I'm ready to put in the work. I've been practicing my taijutsu, and I'm excited to get better."
Takao then addressed Yuki, "Yuki, I've spoken to your parents, and they've told me that you'll be training with them. I'm not familiar with your clan's taijutsu techniques."
Yuki replied, "Yes, my clan has some unique techniques. I'm grateful that my parents will be helping me improve."
The group exchanged nods, and Takao concluded, "Alright, then. Let's keep up the hard work and focus on our training. Together, we'll make sure we're prepared for anything that comes our way."
Today, Takao informed everyone that they could head to the library or ask their parents about what they'd like to learn. With that, he wrapped up the session, telling them they were free to go. After his words, he vanished from the scene.
As Takao left, both Kosuke and Yuki followed suit, heading back to their respective homes. Yuto, on the other hand, found himself drawn to the thought of a delicious meal. He decided to visit "Yakiniku Q" to fill up his stock, especially since he was quite hungry after the day's training. While enjoying his food, Yuto contemplated his training and the day's intense experience. He pondered, 'Training for five years has been tough, but today felt like a whole new level of challenge. I think I should look for new jutsus to learn soon.'
After his satisfying feast, Yuto directed his steps towards the library. He entered the C section, an area he was now able to access, and began his quest to find lightning-style jutsus. As he searched, he also contemplated whether he should explore water-style jutsus. However, he reasoned that learning lightning jutsus first would be the best approach. "Okay," he thought, 'I'll focus on mastering those first. After that, I can think about adding water-style techniques to my arsenal.'
After Yuto delved into the scroll, he stumbled upon a collection of jutsus that hadn't been showcased in the Naruto series. As he carefully read through each entry, he compiled a list of newfound techniques:
Lightning Ball
Cloud Shield Technique
Electric Fog Technique
Lightning Beam
Electric Detonation Technique
Upon reading about these jutsus, Yuto reflected on what he had learned. "So, this Lightning Ball technique is what Kosuke used," he deduced. He comprehended that this technique involved generating spheres of electrical energy and propelling them towards the enemy. When these spheres made contact, they both electrocuted the target and repelled them. Additionally, Yuto realized that the technique could be employed swiftly in succession or unleash multiple balls simultaneously for enhanced impact.
Continuing his examination, Yuto's attention turned to the "Cloud Shield Technique." Drawing inspiration from cloud shinobi, this approach enabled a shinobi to employ their chakra to congeal the air just before them. This resulted in a robust, chakra-infused barrier made of clouds. This barrier was adept at deflecting projectiles and ninjutsu of similar rank. Yuto contemplated, "Finally, a defensive technique that could be quite handy in safeguarding against enemy attacks."
Among the jutsus Yuto discovered, one that stood out was the "Electric Fog Technique." This technique involved a shinobi covering an area with a natural, cloudy fog. The fog wasn't overly thick, allowing one to see through it as if it wasn't there at all. However, the true power of this technique revealed itself in its next phase.
After summoning the fog, the shinobi could proceed to indirectly attack. By sending an electrical current through the tiny droplets of condensed water forming the fog, they could create a series of small yet potent electrical shocks. These shocks not only vaporized the fog but also had the potential to debilitate opponents physically, potentially even rendering them unconscious. Yuto contemplated the versatility of this technique, seeing how it could provide both cover and a surprise offensive advantage.
Another intriguing technique was the "Lightning Beam." While not as deadly as a railgun, this jutsu still held its own power. It could inflict intense pain on the target, leaving them stunned. Yuto envisioned situations where this jutsu could be employed strategically, capitalizing on its ability to immobilize opponents temporarily. He considered the potential of this jutsu in battles, where causing pain and temporary paralysis could create opportunities for the team to take control of the situation.
The "Electric Detonation Technique" caught Yuto's attention next. This technique allowed the user to trigger a controlled explosion of lightning bunshins, or clone-like projections made of lightning energy, which were under their control. The resulting burst of electricity could shock anyone in close proximity. Yuto visualized the tactical possibilities of this technique, imagining scenarios where using the bunshins as a diversion and then detonating them could disrupt the enemy's strategy and inflict damage.
As Yuto pondered his new jutsus, he weighed his options carefully. He recognized that selecting too many jutsus could potentially slow him down and complicate his training, especially considering his intent to combine them with his kenjutsu skills. Consequently, he chose techniques that offered him tactical advantages, specifically focusing on those that could provide coverage over an area, like the "Electric Fog Technique" and "Lightning Ball."
The "Lightning Beam" intrigued him for its potential to escalate in rank based on the amount of chakra invested, making it adaptable to different situations. He contemplated the "Electric Detonation Technique," recognizing its potential as a potent tool when used strategically, especially if multiple clones were employed to amplify its effects.
Yuto also thought about the jutsus that could be stored in paper tags. "Lightning Ball," "Lightning Beam," "Cloud Shield," and "Electric Fog" made his list. However, he acknowledged that attempting to store more complex techniques like the "Shadow Clone Jutsu" might be challenging due to its higher rank.
As an idea sparked his curiosity, Yuto contemplated storing the "Lightning Clone Jutsu," which held a lower rank and consumed less chakra. His excitement to experiment with this concept was palpable, and he was about to head home to give it a try. Yet, his plans shifted when he spotted Kosuke entering the C section of the library and sensed Yuki's presence in the D section. Eager to engage with his teammates, Yuto decided to postpone his experiment momentarily.
Seeing Kosuke entering the C section of the library, Yuto's curiosity got the better of him. He approached Kosuke and greeted him, "Hey, Kosuke! What are you up to? Exploring some lightning jutsus?"
Kosuke looked up from the scrolls he was examining and grinned, "Yeah, exactly! I'm interested in expanding my lightning techniques. It's always good to have a variety of jutsus up your sleeve."
Yuto nodded in agreement, "Definitely. I've been going through some lightning jutsus myself. There are quite a few interesting ones."
Kosuke's eyes lit up, "That's awesome! Have you found anything particularly exciting?"
Yuto shared, "Well, I'm really intrigued by the 'Electric Fog Technique.' It's like creating a fog that you can use to shock opponents indirectly. Seems like it could be useful for both offense and defense."
Kosuke nodded thoughtfully, "Sounds interesting indeed. And with your kenjutsu skills, you could probably create some unexpected combinations."
Yuto smiled, appreciating Kosuke's insight, "Exactly what I was thinking! I want to make sure my jutsus complement my swordplay."
Kosuke leaned back, "I get it. It's about finding techniques that enhance your strengths. By the way, have you come across any earth-style jutsus? I'm curious to see if there's anything new I can learn."
Yuto thought for a moment before responding, "Actually, I came across a couple of earth-style jutsus that might catch your interest. There's a section opposite to where we are right now. You might want to take a look there. Also, remember the jutsus Takao sensei used during our sparring session?"
Yuto shared with Kosuke, "I did see a few earth-style jutsus while going through the scrolls. One that caught my attention is the 'Rock Shelter Jutsu.' It's an earth-style technique that lets you create a protective shelter using the earth. By infusing chakra into the ground, you can make the earth rise and form a strong barrier. It's like a shield that can defend you from attacks. I thought it could be really useful for defensive tactics and creating cover during battles."
Kosuke's interest was piqued, "That sounds handy. Creating cover on the spot could definitely give us an advantage in battles."
Yuto continued, "Absolutely. And there's another earth-style jutsu called the 'Bottomless Swamp Jutsu.' This one's intriguing because it creates a deceptive swamp-like area on solid ground. It looks stable, but it's actually unstable and can trap opponents. Anyone who steps on it might sink, making it hard for them to move or fight effectively."
Kosuke nodded thoughtfully, "So, it's like controlling the battlefield by creating hazardous terrain. That could really mess up an enemy's strategy."
Yuto agreed, "Exactly. By manipulating the earth, you're not just using jutsus, you're using the environment itself to gain an upper hand."
Kosuke's enthusiasm was evident, "Thanks, Yuto! It's great to have teammates who share knowledge and help each other improve."
Yuto grinned, "Definitely. That's what being a team is all about."
After returning home, Yuto set his plan into motion. He created a shadow clone and, while it was forming, managed to take a relaxing bath and prepare a meal. Once he was done eating, he went to check on his shadow clone's progress. He was pleased to see that the clone had successfully created a few paper tags.
With determination, Yuto decided to try something new. He formed a lightning clone, which was a technique he had been eager to master. As he attempted to use the enclosing technique on the clone, his first try failed. However, he didn't give up and persisted until he succeeded on his second attempt. Utilizing the paper tag, Yuto summoned a lightning clone right before his eyes. The sight filled him with excitement and thoughts raced through his mind, 'Now I can create a whole army of clones! This is fantastic. I should leave a shadow clone here at home; it can continue making more clones and also research new seals.'
