When Wen Linyu reached the location agreed upon with Wang Meng, Wang Meng happened to be at the entrance.
Upon seeing Wen Linyu's car, Wang Meng stopped and stood in place, waiting for him.
Wen Linyu locked his car and walked over to greet Wang Meng.
This private restaurant, Wen Linyu had been to it twice before and it basically required reservations.
As Wang Meng led him inside, he said, "I originally invited Quanzhou, but he's been tied up with family matters lately and couldn't make it. Liu Bin was supposed to come too, but he just called and said his wife got into a small accident while picking up their kid from school, so he probably won't make it either."
"Is his wife and kid okay?" Wen Linyu asked, a bit concerned.
Wang Meng replied honestly, "Shouldn't be anything serious, just a minor scrape. But the kid got quite scared. You know how Liu Bin is a total 'daughter's dad...' "
