"Koina?"
"Earth to Koinaaaaaaa..."
. . .
"WAKE UP!"
BANG!!!
A hammer to her head, stunting her awake, having her scream and grip her forehead as she watched Harvard with a book. In retaliation, she'd punch the child straight in his face, letting him get launched out of the bed and into the wall, cracking his skull as a result. Despite the bleeding, he raised his hands in a thumbs up gesture. "She's alive!" He'd state, as the blood was already pouring out from his mouth, prompting him to regenerate from the injury.
"WHAT IS YOUR DAMAGE!? WHY DID YOU- WHAT DID YOU HIT ME WITH?!" Koina asked, checking for any bruises or bumps, being thankful she wasn't hit too hard by the hardcover. "...Do you have any idea how much damage that would've done to me? That could've broke my skull in two!"
"Like what happened with mines?"
"EXACTLY!!" She'd groan as she'd look around, being brought back to the bedroom, the moon's rise signaling she was out for a while. The people once sleeping were quickly picking up such rounds, carrying heavy tons on their backs, as well as rebuilding and strengthening their walls. The dome left above was being recasted to avoid such natural light, being interrupted by Tsukiya in such disavows, raising a stir among the populace. "...I was out like a light, huh?" She asked.
"Worse! We saw you struggling to breathe when we got you out of the ice! We had to do some spells in order to stabilize you a bit." Harvard's words of confidence was equal in both concern and clarity, as he'd showcase the sigil matched alongside with Garden of Eden. "Turns out, casting a spell on one of my cards can let me make a new sigil to use on people! Situational? Yeah, probably. Worth it? Absolutely!"
"Situational? Wait, wait. What did you do to me, specifically?"
"I got this one." Solomon intervenes, quickly copying the markings by using Shady as its template, a symbol of the Potion the Card Magician always used whenever he needs to reinvigorate himself. "Spreading out the energy does the same effect as Eden, but lessens the potency. However, if combined with other healing styles, as well as a few medicines that weird king guy was asking for, you'd basically be able to survive against almost anything save for extinction. Even if your organs were to somehow disappear, the set-up here would let the cells regrow new ones and substitute over it."
"...And you learned this how???"
"Books regarding the body are a necessity in biology..." The Biblical Sorcerer winced at his recall in such knowledge, acting as one of the first tests he had to do to get his parents approval. His mind was still plagued by the numerous attempts he had to do until he remembered what to say and how to say it. "...Buuuut regardless, you didn't need to worry about all that pedantic stuff. Just know we're working together a lot easier."
"Perfect timing, too! There's a quest set up nearby about a cool Knight monster!" Harvard's interjection made the assassin's eyes grow wide, knowing fully well what they were referring to. She'd try to warn the children, but the pain she felt in her heart was still there, forcing her to lay back down. "Hey, hey, take it easy. Don't worry! Stolas and Zazel are already on the lookout! There was a bunch of tracks left on the sidewalk, we can simply find him, beat him, then come back and get our reward!" The boy's smile was as infectious as it was oblivious.
"That's... Ngh... That's not what I'm-" Koina attempted again, but Solomon raised his hand and allowed Eden to heal her body back, letting her take such needed rest.
"It's okay. Gabriel said he's already finished with the construction of Calibren and is making his way here. Adel's also nearby keeping watch. Just focus on your recovery. You'll be fine." Solomon's words would strike a chord onto Koina, her mind wracked with such guilt. She wasn't able to do the one thing she can do, the burden weighing heavier than the condition she found herself in. Her eyes told that she wasn't willing to sit idly by, but the body remained still. She'd sigh as she'd look up at the roof.
"Before you leave then... Let me give you this tip. Whatever that monster is... something's fishy with it. Don't try to kill it off immediately, please. Learn from it. It might have something we can use against Wyvios if things get dicey." She'd whisper, just enough for the boys to hear while being low enough to avoid detection. The children were quick to nod and accept her request, as Zazel would come back and signal for the two to follow. "Be careful, okay...?" She'd warn, another nod given to the children as their answer in keeping watch. Once they left, she'd wallow a bit in her grievance. As she did, someone else would be coming inside.
The King himself, Wyvios.
"Well now, a little birdie told me someone has had quite the fall. Hard to believe who it was, buuuuut seeing the massive carving left on the wall, I believe I have already seen what was going on." His pride was as venomous as his ego, looming over the Assassin like an animal, gazing down at such fresh meat.
"Great... you're here."
"Indeed~! I will say, I should commend you for your tricks in sneaking up on us. Word was that you were ditched as well in Orochi, am I right?"
"Yeah, yeah. I wa- Wait. 'As well'?" The Assassin's ears perked up when he said such words.
"Yes! You'd thought I do this on my own volition? The bastards in that skeleton hut of hum-drum never approved of my choices. My decisions. My... interests, if you may."
"Is this about the women thing?"
"Now you're just offending me!" His body exaggerated upon such words, recoiling back, his hand against his head in dismay and shame. He was quick to return back to his bird-like watch once he recollected himself. "No, no. The interest was involving Project Helios. The one you most likely heard from us. Being shamed out for such an achievement man can produce is one of the most horrible things I could have ever felt. A passion project of mine, if you will, and one that will revolutionize the energy intake itself! Just as long as we worked out the few kinks, we'll be sure to prepare ourselves against that malignant grave for a castle, as well as anyone else willing to go against such evolution!"
"You're talking like a lunatic."
"Right, right. Put simply... I want this to be special. A marvel of what man can truly be. If you'd like... there is an open spot available for us. All you have to do is feed me information regarding what the others are saying. Consider yourself our camera, our agent, our ink and quill to write down and write out whoever tries to defy this benefit to our society. You can consider us the Nikola Tesla of Magic!"
"...Maybe."
"Take as much time as you need. Your recovery comes first... and your worth comes next. I truly believe you know the right choice."
