"So we're just gonna let them STAY!?" A voice boomed as soon as Koina reached the top, making use of the flimsy, clay-like structure to insert herself inside and camouflage with its surroundings. A quick stab into the wall and a small seam was more than enough to slip inside and use as both a foothold and a way of listening in. So far, there seemed to be four voices, three of which are foreign, and the fourth belonging to the king as they commerce. "If what they say is true, this is going to be a HUGE problem. They'd most likely find out about Project Helios and either exploit it for THEIR gain, or worse, BREAK IT!" The voice was clearly aggravated, frightened, as the Assassin was quick in prodding the hole a bit more so she can get a better visual. Such worries raised by one would be overshadowed by a loud laugh.
"No, no, no! It's INGENIOUS! All we have to do is simply keep it locked away! Think about it. Right now, both sides are suffering fatigue from both the invasion and defense on both sides. This is a perfect opportunity to expand ourselves! A chance to take advantage of their weary states and push our plan further! Maybe if we play our cards right, we can goad some of their enemies in and have an allegiance planned out!" Wyvios replied, pacing around the room as he'd scramble for such papers, shoving them in a box and letting it be lowered down to the same room the second sun resides. "All we have to do is just lock it away and NEVER tell them. Just... make an excuse! Say we have a rogue Caster! What's that one monster we have in our storage? The one with the silver and onyx blade...?"
"You mean Eustace?"
"That one! Just say it was him! He was... er..."
"Harnessing God's light? He looked like a crusader so the claim has more weight behind it." A third voice rang, more posh and heavy, a cloaked figure draping over a round body, a barcode visible on their left hand as he was having some pork rinds. "Better yet, we can also imbue a small 'Sun' on it for added measure. Make the armor shine and sparkle with clear, cold waters and hot iron. Let it be a marvel. Could even give him an alias if we want his identity a secret."
"Good ideas! Good ideas, Barklode! Any suggestions then as to how we deal out Eustace?" Koina would quickly inscribe the information onto her thigh, the ice forming across the body to make such a message, small swipes to ensure she wouldn't hurt herself by accident during the message. The first voice was quick to speak up in interrupting the two's cooperation.
"That'll be stupid, though! If they managed to handle Calibren, that must've included that infernal 'Man in the Mountain' thing resting underneath, correct? What are the chances these RODENTS were involved with it? They confessed they want to get even, so that means they're somewhat responsible in some portion of that invasion, aren't they?!" She'd ask, the figure being visible through the cloak. It was lean, yet firm, a clear soldier amongst their ranks. Hidden underneath the hood rests no mouth, only a mask with clear eyes staring daggers at the group, the light showing such a reflection. Koina would blink as she'd see such a woman, being somewhat familiar with her. Flashes in her mind trace back when she was younger, when a massive tower emerged to act as her home while abandoned by Orochi, and a figure with that very mask being up high. To see not only a woman, but a high ranked one, in Wyvios' secluded group rose a lot of suspicions, making her believe she's hiding something just as much as they are.
"And that's why we're throwing Eustace at them, Tarot Girl. If we are to keep them out of our way, we simply need to make up some missions for them. Some bread crumbs to trail around. A Goose chase, even! To question our ruler is to question his law, and you don't want to be doing that in our little council now, will you?" The last of the three figures spoke up, stronger in tone, his body hiding very little underneath the 'rag' that acts as a hood. His features were defined, but something was also visible underneath the strong armor as his garbs. It looked to be almost like a face hiding in the dark.
"If you don't want me to voice my concerns, you should've not let me in this 'council' of yours in the first place. I doubt you'd want a bunch of 'yes men' agreeing with every word spat out by such nonsense-"
Her words were ceased as the bulkier figure gripped her by the neck. She wasn't choking, but such a grip was straining somewhat. "Mind your bloody tongue! You are before our KING here! Such insolence will be paid in-"
"Do it, then! Take my head! See what good that does for you! I'm more than willing to speak my mind as much as my soul is willing!" Both were at a hair's breath away from attacking one another, but Wyvios was quick on raising his hands to cease the two.
"Now, now. Let's not fight. This is a golden opportunity. We shan't waste this moment. Let's let the children have their fun while we speed up our process. Tankao, set up the quests for the group and make sure nobody else takes it. Majora, Barklode, you accompany me to ensure Project Helios is well-protected. Remember, play our cards right, we can take up way more than what is necessary." Wyvios demanded as he'd lick his lips in an ugly fashion, his eyes drifting upward, his mind already lost in the innate desire he wishes to hold dear. "Ohhhh, I can taste it now. The scent. The texture. The taste of being above all else. Oh, how I wish it comes soon~." Creeped out by such motives, and seeing them already embarking, Koina would scale down the kingdom, ready to relay the information as much as she can.
As she attempted such, however...
SHIKK!!!
A Gash, right at her chest. Someone was listening in just as much. Someone who was waiting, biding for their own moment.
