Diablo was sitting on a hill in a forest which wasn't too far off from the city, he was able to get a good view of the city with the wind blowing softly while he was taking some sweets. As he was enjoying the view all by himself, Veronica approached him "What a surprise, wasn't expecting to see you all the way here.", Diablo responded "Just a little sight seeing, nothing to much. What are you doing here?". Veronica sat beside him with her legs crossed "Well, I was just taking a walk and decided to feel a bit of nostalgia. Then I traced your energy all the way here.", "Typical" Diablo replied. Veronica then asked "By the way, about Alex and Kazuki. Why did you give them the divine powers of gods, and the weakest versions at that?". Diablo kept quiet for a moment, taking a moment to eat up some sweets, he tells Veronica "Because they were the only ones with potential, and it was also due to the plot of the story. As for the reason why I gave them the weakest versions of those powers is self explanatory.". Veronica, leaning towards Diablo's shoulders proceeded to ask "Care to elaborate?", Diablo sighed in annoyance "You. You know what you're doing. Either way, power has a way of affecting people, if someone is wielding a power they can't handle, it will lead to insanity. It's mainly because they're minds isn't capable of holding that much power, in some cases it could be the body of the individual burning or detiorating, but that's another special case on its own.". Diablo continues to say "Alex and Kazuki at the moment can't handle powers that are strong enough to shatter entire universes. If I gave them the ability to operate on the same level of power Ukina was operating on, they'd just go mad due to the vast amount of power. Right now they only have powers of that of low tier gods, which is strong enough to wipe out entire dimensions that are made up of celestial bodies bigger than an average planet by ten times. You also operate on that plain of power yourself, Ceronica.". Veronica responded "Its surprising how knowledgeable you are. It's like your getting smarter by the day.". Diablo, felt a bit insulted by that statment "Oh please. Its common knowledge, not my fault you're dumb. But I do have infinite knowledge and information since I'm the reincarnate of the being that literally created this existence. And plus, ive alway been smart.". Veronica asked "By the way, were you the one who saved me? Back when I was fighting Ukina, I only had a last ditch effort in stopping her, and that was using my one thousand S-rank monsters. The monsters and myself got wiped out by a thousand sun's. I swear I thought that was it for me.", Diablo turns his head in another direction trying to avoid the conversation "Well, maybe it was just some kind of plot armour or something. Don't ask me for every little thing.". Veronica starts to tease, her voice turning into a seductive tone, she started pointing her finger to his face while pressing her breasts on his shoulder "You were the one who saved me, weren't t you? Admit it, you like me.", Diablo just had an annoyed expression, his face was beat red, this reminded him of the times were Veronica would always tease him and ichiki as teenagers. He thought to himself "God damm those boobs are soft! But just calm down, you're alright. A man like me doesn't give into temptations! A man like me never gives into temptations!", he proceeded to ask Veronica with an annoyed and look on his face "Aren't you supposed too be in the lords office? Go do some paperwork or something!", Veronica responded seductively "Oh dont worry, I already got that covered. And plus, I have no paperwork to fill until next week, so I have this week to goof off like old times.". Meanwhile, Tobi and Kazui were doing some heavy paper work and filings in the lords office, the paperwork seemed very intense for them, they both had this singular thought in their minds "I already knew that Veronica would make a terrible lord."(They weren't lying). Alex was sitting on a river bank with Kinto "Its been a while since both of us sat together like this. It feels so pleasant being able to do this with you again.", Kinto said to Alex while eating chips. Alex tells him "Yeah, we haven't done this in a while. It feels kind of nice and new at the same time. Too bad, moments like these don't last for long.", Kinto sighed "Did you really have to remind me of that? You know the kind of world we live in, its like peace Is just a temporary thing.". Alex puts his hand In Kinto's bag of chips, takes a handful of them and stuffed them in his mouth all at once. This left Kinto in shock. He scolded Alex with annoyance "Aiy you, you've started! You never see me doing that with your meal now, do you?", Alex muffled with his mouth stuffed with food "Sorry, dont try to eat me.". Kinto then tells him "By the way, Shouya asked of you. Remember him? The kid who went berserk on the assassination exams.". Alex, after swallowing the chips, thought for a moment before responding "Oh yeah, that guy. I remember him, he's the guy who can bring out tentacles and arms from his back. Right?", Kinto responded with a nervous smile "That's not how you remember someone now.". Alex started to scratch his head "I've been thinking of something. Is it possible that I have already attained the position of lord automatically? Back when we were declared the heroes of the war, Kojin referred to me as the person who will be the future lord of the city. If so, i was expecting I'd have to do more than just be the [MVP] of a war.". Kinto listened to Alex, took a big sigh and explained "You really don't get it, do you? You are the same guy who defeated Bara when he came to destroy our city. You're the strongest among all thirteen of us in the squad, and you were always ranting about being a lord while we were kids. If anything, Kojin already recognised you as a worthy candidate. He basically gave you that position as a final gift before he passed away.". Alex felt inspired by Kinto's explanation, he also remembered his parents telling him "We're putting our faith in you.". Alex smiled cheerfully "Is that so? Well I'm glad.". Kinto tells him, almost dissapointed "Seriously, it's like I lose brain cells by just talking to you.". The two friends began to laugh, they haven't felt this joyfully with each other in a long time.
