"Mom!" The second monkey fluttered, quickly leaping from Uncle Qi's arms into his mother's embrace.
Gu Nuan hugged her youngest son's small body, finally feeling at ease, as if the dust had settled.
"Mom—" The second monkey rubbed vigorously in his mother's arms, never getting enough of the hug. He felt like crying but couldn't shed a tear.
Gu Nuan didn't know how to comfort her son; she only knew he must have suffered a lot. Her son's once plump body now felt at least half as heavy as before. She could only pat her son's body while trying to adjust her emotions.
