She stood among the group of female attendants, and felt like her ears were falling off from their gossip and chatter. She struggled for a whole month, but was finally reaching her limit.
Just then, a man in a mask walked out of one of the two side-entrance passages, looking around like someone not familiar with the place. She didn't know why, but she felt this was it. She always listened to her instincts, and they were telling her he was it. Her ticket out of being surrounded by this endless yapping of meaningless shallow conversations that threatened to drive her crazy if she stayed around them for another hour, or even half that.
'Lucky', was her thought when their gossipy voices revealed they didn't think it was a good client. No one wanted to step forward, at least for now. Some of them were enticed, but only after 'making him cluelessly bumble around a bit more'. They were bored. They craved some entertainment. She saw it many times before.
