The massive gates of the Inner Palace of the Crow King's Nest were only open for special occasions, most of the time two smaller side doors were used by everyone entering and leaving.
It was at one of the side doors that a loud voice was causing a ruckus amid the small line of people waiting to be let in, as the guards checked their qualifications to enter.
