when she was done bathing, she asked the maids to pick a dress for her and they picked a simple but beautiful red dress.
She wore it staring at her reflection in the mirror, her mind was somewhere else. filled with so many thoughts.
' what will he ask for ' she was anxious and also nervous and that was something she had never felt in her life. she had this fear but didn't know what she was afraid of , maybe she was afraid of the unknown .
" we're done my lady " a maid told her when they were done styling her hair and wearing her the jewelries.
" oh , than....thank you " she had a sweet smile on before standing up, " you may leave " she told them elegantly before going to look outside through the window.
To her this kingdom was peaceful,maybe peaceful than home where she's always quarreling with her mother.
She felt like coming here was a bad idea . she should have taken her mother's advice and just go to war .but ,what about the life's of innocent people, the soldiers who would be sacrificed in this war are father's, husbands, Brothers and uncles. yeah , they had people who wouldn't want to loose them just like she had people who are ready to sacrifice themselves not to loose her.
Taking a deep breath,Ciara walked out . " you must be Ciara " she heard a male voice from behind and turned to meet a god .
" you must be Ciara. are you ? " he asked .
" yes , I am " she answered scanning his face .
" I was asked to show you the way to the dinning room " he tried smiling but failed , please come with me" .
Ciara followed behind but not closely and wished she could touch those beautiful silver hairs of his .
When they got to the dinning room,the guards at the door opened it for them and they went in . she scanned the place with her eyes and found Amber sitting silently on the left while the princes and his wife's sat at the king's right hand side .
She walked confidently to where Amber was , " you never came to tell me you would be coming here so I would come with you ".
" never wanted to disturb you dear so I decided to leave you to rest " she smiled and all anger disappeared.
" his majesty the king is here " a guard came in to announce with his loud voice and everyone stood up as the king walked in with his queen.
They waited until he was seated before they all sat , Ciara was already hating the way the acted here and was like must the king do things before you do .
But she was quiet and did what she saw others doing even if she felt this was nonsense.
' what do you think he will ask for ?' Amber asked telepathically.
' I don't know ' .
' what if he ask you to marry him '
' I don't ..... wait , no way . I can't leave my throne ' Amber almost laughed but snorted and all eyes was on her before the went back to eating .
The king watched them and knew they were communicating and he cleared his throat. immediately all cutlery were dropped on their plates without sounds .
Ciara and Amber stared at them surprised,
" when the king clears his throat that means he has something to say so we all stop eating to listen" a beautiful lady explained to them and the both said " oh " then dropped theirs, letting it fall noisily .
Lucas hid a smile , " I think I know the reason why you're here " the king said rather than asked and they both nodded." And you know what ever I ask should be given in exchange for the peace you seek " He face was serious but his heart wasn't.
" yes we do " Ciara responded while Amber kept quiet. " ask , except for the people,it kingdom and the throne "
' how confident' he thought, " is the royals included ? " .
" the king , his queen, mistresses ,sons " she turned to Amber who shook her head with a stern look ." some of his daughters are included " Lucas turned his laughter into cough and was served water immediately .
" sorry your majesty, I am exempted cause I would do anything for my people " her voice had that boldness in it.
' Medusa, you never seem to know you can't please this humans , and you also never learn' Lucas thought as he stared at her and nodded .
" I would think " he said then a guard whispered something into his ear and he stood up " Process Mabel is here " he said and almost all the princes groaned then he left the dinning room with the Queen behind him and the guards followed .
