"Masters! It has been hundreds of years! It's been so long!"

She looked at her husband and then back at the old, crying elf. For the most part, she just felt a little befuddled.
It seemed like the dwarves were placed here by quasi-elves, and because she and her husband had this aura, the dwarf made the association. He seemed old and had bad eyesight, but she did not dare pretend to be the dwarves' actual masters.
What if he asked questions she had no idea how to answer? He might just shoot her himself.
Althea paused for a moment before slowly nodding. "You must be speaking of my grandparents. We heard that they have been here, and it's actually why we are here."
She had to place a lot of disclaimers just in case she said something inconsistent later. At least with this excuse, she can make logical excuses to some follow up questions or at least have a valid explanation for being unable to answer others.
