"Seeking death! Fire!" Dr. Gero was pale with shock, his pupils shrinking violently as he hurriedly barked orders at his subordinates, his voice cracking.
"Da da da!"
All the soldiers aimed their muzzles at Vegeta and opened fire frantically.
Bullets poured out like raindrops, tracing scorching paths through the air and striking Vegeta's body with the dense sound of metal clashing.
Vegeta didn't even bother to dodge. He stood there motionless, arms crossed over his chest.
His chin remained held high, a contemptuous smile hanging on his lips as he allowed the bullets to strike his body.
Sparks flew everywhere across his battle armor as the bullet heads were deflected, scattering across the ground.
These bullets hadn't even scratched Vegeta's battle armor in the slightest.
Not even a single dent was left on the surface of the armor; it remained as clean as new.
"Enough! This kid's fate is what awaits you; if you don't want to die, then behave!" Dr. Gero said viciously to the others, jerking his chin toward Vegeta with a flash of smugness in his eyes.
Lapina and her two siblings were scared witless.
Lapina's face was incredibly pale, her hands covering her mouth as her body trembled slightly.
Lapis shrank behind his sister, showing only half of his head.
Lazuli's eyes were wide and round, her mouth slightly agape, unable to utter a single word.
"What? Is this all your attack amounts to? You've truly disappointed me!" Vegeta gave a cold snort and smiled contemptuously.
He reached out and patted the armor on his chest, flicking away a few bullet heads stuck in the seams with a casual motion, as if brushing off dust.
Lapina's siblings and Dr. Gero's group were all dumbfounded.
With so many bullets fired, that child acted as if nothing had happened?
Was his body made of iron?
"I told you they were monsters," Lapis's mouth twitched as his voice trembled, his fingers tightly clutching his sister's hem.
"Such powerful monsters... it would be great if I could become this strong." Lazuli, however, looked at Vegeta with a face full of admiration, her eyes sparkling as curiosity gradually replaced her fear.
Rez smiled at Lazuli, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly.
You will definitely become very strong in the future, strong enough to even grind Vegeta into the dirt.
Dr. Gero's eyes bulged, his face deathly pale as fine beads of sweat seeped from his forehead.
Terrifying! Too terrifying!
Is this child invulnerable to blades and guns?
With a cold snort, Vegeta kicked off the ground, his body turning into a golden afterimage as he punched and kicked those soldiers with extreme speed.
His movements were too fast for the naked eye to capture; only the muffled sounds of 'thud thud thud' and the screams of the soldiers could be heard.
In less than ten seconds, these soldiers were lying all over the ground, sprawled across the courtyard, motionless and clearly not long for this world.
Dr. Gero was truly terrified. Taking advantage of the fight, he hurriedly tried to slip away.
His steps were panicked, and he nearly tripped over the threshold, his body stumbling.
"Stop. Did I say you could leave?" Vegeta snorted coldly. His voice wasn't loud, yet it pierced Dr. Gero's ears like a knife.
Dr. Gero's body suddenly stiffened, and his footsteps halted.
His face turned from white to an ashen grey; his lips quivered and his legs went soft, nearly causing him to kneel on the spot.
There was a brief moment of stagnation.
Dr. Gero's eyes darted around, and he quickly turned around, falling to his knees before Vegeta with a thud.
Propping his hands on the ground, he knocked his forehead against the earth, his voice carrying a hint of a sob: "Young Master, spare my life! It was my mistake! I won't dare do it again!"
"Hmph, useless trash! Throw all these guys out for me! Then you can get lost!" Vegeta snorted coldly, arms crossed and chin held even higher, his tail flicking behind him.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Dr. Gero felt as if he had been granted a grand amnesty. He scrambled up from the ground, hunched over, and began carrying the corpses one by one, staggering as he threw them out of the courtyard.
His movements were swift and urgent, fearing that being a step too slow would result in being 'repaired' by that terrifying child.
"Let's go." Rez didn't waste any more words. With a tap of his toes, he rose directly into the air.
Linoshi followed closely behind, her long black hair fluttering in the wind, her eyes slightly lowered as she remained silent.
Broly, Vegeta, and Buu also flew up after them.
Several silhouettes rose rapidly into the blue sky, soon becoming small black dots.
Rez and the others quickly flew away, leaving only Lapina's family staring at each other in shock.
Lapina stood in the courtyard, looking up at the sky with her mouth slightly open, unable to close it for a long time.
Lapis and Lazuli stood side by side with her, their four eyes staring unblinkingly at the light disappearing into the horizon.
They flew forward for a distance. The wind whistled in their ears, and the towns below grew smaller and smaller.
Rez suddenly stopped in mid-air.
"From here on, you're free to act on your own!" Rez turned around and instructed Broly, Vegeta, and Majin Buu casually.
"Free to act?" Vegeta paused slightly, his brow furrowing as his gaze swept over Rez's face.
Buu also raised an eyebrow, a hint of confusion surfacing on his chubby face; his lips moved, but he didn't speak.
Broly scratched his head, his eyes darting around with a look of utter bewilderment.
"Remember one thing: do not kill people at will, unless they are truly heinous!" When Rez said this, he specifically gave Vegeta a deep, meaningful look.
Vegeta's body stiffened slightly, his mouth twitching before he turned his head away, chin held higher as his tail flicked behind him.
What are you looking at me for?
"Especially for you, Vegeta, this is very important." Rez turned around, his gaze landing on Vegeta's face, his expression serious and his tone heavier than usual.
Vegeta's brow knit together, his chin tilted up slightly, and his tail swept in a half-circle behind him: "What do you mean?"
"This matter is related to the Super Saiyan, unless you aren't interested in the Super Saiyan." Rez thought for a moment and explained the matter of the Super Saiyan in detail.
His voice wasn't loud, yet every word reached Vegeta's ears clearly.
"What? Super Saiyan?" Vegeta's pupils shrank violently. He leaned forward slightly, subconsciously turning to look at Broly beside him.
His gaze lingered on Broly's face for a moment, his lips pursed.
Broly pointed at his own nose with his index finger, tilting his head with a look of slight puzzlement in his eyes.
Before this, he had heard about the Legendary Super Saiyan, though he hadn't understood it very clearly.
Now that Rez was mentioning things related to the Super Saiyan again, Broly was still somewhat curious.
"You don't need to look at Broly," Rez said calmly, his gaze landing steadily on Vegeta. "Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan. What I'm talking about is the ordinary Super Saiyan; they cannot be compared."
