Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: Mastering Ultra Instinct as Soon as Possible

Vegeta instantly froze, his eyes wide as he stared blankly at Linoshi.

His pupils constricted violently, and the color drained from his face at a visible rate.

A brief silence followed.

One could hear a pin drop inside the cockpit.

"Hmph, are you joking? You're saying Frieza's power level is 120 million!" Vegeta expressed deep skepticism, his voice unconsciously rising an octave.

"Yes," Linoshi nodded slightly, her voice so small it was as if she had said something wrong.

She lowered her eyes, her fingers beginning to fiddle with the hem of her battle suit again.

"You just said... your brother told you?" Vegeta asked again, his brow furrowed deeply enough to crush a fly. "Who is your brother?"

"Ah... my brother is... my brother also heard it from someone in the Frieza Force, it shouldn't be false," Linoshi quickly fabricated a lie, her blue eyes flickering with a hint of panic.

At the same time, Linoshi sighed inwardly, suddenly feeling a bit mentally exhausted.

It really takes many lies to cover up just one.

"Impossible! That's absolutely impossible!" Vegeta shook his head, baring his teeth, his small face full of disbelief. "How could Frieza's power level be that high!"

"Alright, alright, a kid doesn't need to be asking about these things. Hurry up and get back to your business!" Rez patted Vegeta on the shoulder, signaling that he could beat it.

"You... what did you say? I am not a kid!" Vegeta gritted his teeth and shouted angrily, his face flushing red.

Thwack!

Rez wasn't about to indulge Vegeta's attitude; he stepped forward and delivered a palm strike directly to the back of his neck.

The movement was clean and swift, the force perfectly measured.

Flop!

Vegeta was knocked to the ground, passing out on the spot. His small body lay prone on the cold metal floor, motionless.

"Much quieter now!" Rez let out a long sigh of relief, a relaxed smile appearing on his face.

"This... this isn't very good, is it?" Linoshi didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Looking at the unconscious Vegeta on the floor, her blue eyes were full of worry. "Be careful if the King finds out..."

"If he knows, he knows. He can't beat me anyway," Rez laughed, completely unconcerned.

"You... what you say makes a lot of sense," Linoshi nodded. After thinking about it, there really was no way to refute him.

"I need to train hard too, and strive to reach the entry level of Ultra Instinct as soon as possible before we arrive at Planet Cyril," Rez murmured, his gaze becoming determined.

"I'll stay with you!" Linoshi said softly, her blue eyes looking at him tenderly.

"Okay," Rez readily agreed.

Three minutes later.

Rez and Linoshi entered the training room.

The training room here was similar to the one on Vegeta's spaceship, also a circular room about 10 meters in diameter.

Energy absorption devices were embedded in the surrounding walls, the floor was made of a special alloy, and the lights on the ceiling illuminated the entire space brightly.

After entering the training room, Rez once again emptied his mind, slowly closed his eyes, and quickly entered a state of Mushin.

His breathing became steady and long, and his whole being seemed to merge with the surrounding environment.

That profound feeling welled up in his heart again. His body felt as if it had turned into a pool of spring water, capable of sensing the flow of air, the fluctuations of energy, and everything around him.

Linoshi stood guard by his side, never leaving him.

She stood quietly at the edge of the training room, her blue eyes watching Rez without blinking.

The light fell on Rez, outlining his upright silhouette and focused expression.

The corners of her mouth unconsciously curled up slightly into a gentle smile.

Time passed quietly.

...

Frieza's spaceship.

The main control room was brightly lit, with various instruments flashing with a faint blue light.

Outside the massive viewport, Planet Vegeta hung quietly in the starry sky, the blue planet appearing particularly striking against the darkness.

Frieza remained seated in his cradle-like hover-pod, floating in mid-air.

He narrowed his triangular eyes, gazing out at the vast starry sky and the blue Planet Vegeta within it.

His purple lips curled up slightly into a meaningful smile.

Just then, the hatch opened automatically, and a slender figure walked in from outside.

Zarbon, another of Frieza's confidants.

He had a handsome appearance, long green hair, and wore a well-fitted uniform, with every movement exuding elegance.

He came up behind Frieza and bowed respectfully.

"Zarbon, is something the matter?" Frieza asked without turning his head, his gaze still fixed outside the window.

"Lord Frieza, communication with Dodoria was just lost!" Zarbon reported, his tone carrying a hint of gravity.

"What? Is his Scouter broken?" Frieza snorted, completely unconcerned, his finger lightly tapping the armrest.

"We are currently investigating the specific reason," Zarbon said quickly with another bow. "However, the strange thing is... Dodoria's spaceship suddenly changed course! It's no longer tracking Vegeta's ship but is instead flying toward the Eastern Universe."

"The Eastern Universe?" Frieza's brow furrowed slightly, and his expression turned cold. "Isn't that that fellow Cooler's territory?"

He paused, his gaze becoming even sharper.

"What? Is Dodoria unhappy working for me, Frieza, and planning to defect to my brother Cooler?"

Zarbon did not respond.

Mainly because he didn't know how to answer that, so he just kept his head down and remained silent.

"Have you found out which planet Dodoria's ship is planning to fly to?" Frieza turned and asked, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Dodoria's spaceship has disabled its communication system, so we can't contact him!" Zarbon reported. "From the looks of it, it's flying toward a planet on the edge of the Eastern Universe, apparently called Planet Cyril. We conquered that planet a few months ago and sold it to the Heeters."

"Oh? Planet Cyril?" Frieza said thoughtfully, his finger stopping its tapping. "I recall the Hugorians have already moved to live on that planet."

"Ye... Yes." Zarbon nodded and cautiously asked for instructions, "Lord Frieza, should we send someone over to take a look?"

Frieza pondered for a moment.

"Let Cui go and check it out!" Frieza thought for a moment and issued the order.

"Yes, Lord Frieza." Zarbon bowed and prepared to withdraw.

"Cui is no match for Dodoria. Tell him to report the situation immediately once he sees Dodoria!" Frieza added another instruction, his tone icy.

...

Cui soon received the order.

He was short and thin, with a fawning smile always on his face.

Upon receiving the order, he dared not delay. He immediately boarded a spherical mini-spaceship, which detached from Frieza's mothership. With bright flames erupting from its tail, it quickly set off in pursuit of Rez's spaceship.

Cui's spaceship was not slow either, streaking through the starry sky like a bolt of light, advancing rapidly.

He pursued for several hours.

Starlight receded rapidly outside the viewport, surrounded by endless darkness.

"I should be catching up soon, right?" Cui muttered to himself, staring at the tracking data on the screen.

Thud!

The ship suddenly collided with something, letting out a dull thud, and the entire hull vibrated violently.

"Ouch!" Cui was jolted from his seat, his head nearly hitting the ceiling.

In the next moment, the ice was smashed to pieces, with fragments floating away in the starry sky.

"What was that? How could I hit ice?" Cui was slightly stunned. He rubbed his aching head and frowned, but didn't think much of it.
