Cherreads

Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: Bathtime Stories

"Ahm… as I said, these dreams are completely random and not in my control," I replied, averting my gaze from Sherry. "So who appears in them is entirely out of my hands."

Sherry gave me a flat, deadpan stare, clearly not convinced.

"Anyways," I continued quickly, "like I said, I've dreamed about quite a few of you before meeting you… like Setsuna here," I added with a grin, gently massaging her scalp.

"Eh? Really? Setsuna was in Master's dream? What did Setsuna do?" she asked, looking up at me with curiosity.

"Close your eyes for a moment—let me finish washing your hair first," I said, pouring water over her head and rinsing out the remaining foam.

"Ahh! Setsuna feels so good… like all the weight on Setsuna's head just disappeared," she said with a bright smile. "Thank you for taking such good care of Setsuna, Master."

She wrapped her arms around my leg, pressing her soft breasts against it affectionately.

"It's nothing," I replied with a small smile, glad she enjoyed it that much.

"Umm… Master," she asked hesitantly, "what exactly did Setsuna do in your dream? It wasn't anything disrespectful to you, was it?"

Her blue eyes looked up at me with a hint of vulnerability.

"I wasn't in the dream," I said with a wry smile. "I was just a spectator… watching everything unfold without being able to interfere or change anything."

"Oh…" Setsuna muttered, nodding slowly.

"What exactly happened in that dream, Master?" Roxanne asked, stepping forward and placing a reassuring hand on Setsuna's shoulder. "Could you tell us?"

"The dream wasn't a pleasant one," I said with a sigh. "Are you sure you want to hear it?" I asked looking at Setsuna.

"Setsuna would like to know," she replied firmly, nodding with determination.

"Alright," I said with a nod. "But we can't stay in the bath forever. Anastasia, come here—it's your turn now."

She stepped forward eagerly and took her position. Since I had washed her hair just the day before yesterday, we were both already familiar with the routine.

"In my dream, there was a girl named Setsuna who looked just like you. She also lived in a village," I began, glancing at Setsuna while working the foam through Anastasia's long, silky hair. "But one day, an army from a nearby human-supremacist kingdom attacked. They disguised themselves as bandits and destroyed the village, capturing the survivors to sell them off as slaves to nobles."

I paused briefly before continuing.

"She was too powerless to resist and was captured. Even then, she didn't give up… but in the end, she died—starving—because no noble wanted an unruly slave."

I left out the rest of the stuff from the anime—those parts I had no intention of sharing.

"That's… horrible," Lillia muttered in shock.

Several of the girls gasped, and I noticed Kunou and Vesta looking close to tears.

"So even in the dream… Setsuna couldn't save her village or her family…" Setsuna said quietly, staring down at her faint reflection in the water.

"You don't have to feel bad, Setsuna," Roxanne said gently, squeezing her shoulder. "Master has already saved you… and helped you take revenge for your village."

"That's true," Setsuna said, looking up at me with wide, shining eyes.

"A human-supremacist kingdom… is there really such a place?" Viviana asked with a slight shudder.

"What does that even mean?" Shea asked, confused.

"It means a kingdom ruled by humans who believe they're superior to other races," Sherry explained somberly. "Even though the Empire's royal family is human, I've never heard of them thinking or behaving like that. If anything, the only race that kind of arrogance is usually associated with would be elves… they tend to see themselves as above others."

She cast a sideways glance at Shera.

"Eh? They do?" Shera asked, surprised.

"Aren't you an elf? Shouldn't you know that?" Remu said, looking at her oddly.

"Hehe… I didn't really talk to many elves back home," Shera admitted, rubbing her head sheepishly. "I mostly talked to my granny, and she was rude to everyone… even other elves."

"Well… you're definitely not like those arrogant elves. And neither is she," Sherry said, glancing toward Nyx, who stood quietly to the side.

I couldn't help but notice that Sherry rarely interacted with Shera or Nyx. As a dwarf, her natural dislike for elves made sense—but seeing her speak to them like this felt like a small step forward.

By the time I finished that thought, I had already rinsed the last of the foam from Anastasia's hair. She thanked me with a gentle smile, and I nodded before turning my attention to Setsuna, who was still staring at me with an intense, grateful gaze.

"I want you to understand something," I said, gently cupping her face after washing away the foam. "In the end, it was just a dream. The girl in that dream and you are completely different people. Your stories only share a few similarities."

I gave her a reassuring smile.

"So don't take it to heart. Just think of it as a story… happening in another world, to someone else."

It was the simplest way I could explain something close to a multiverse theory to people from a medieval world.

"Uhm… Setsuna understands," she nodded. "Setsuna has Master, so she is much luckier than that girl in the story."

Her bright smile made something in my chest soften.

Before I could stop myself, I leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead—

and her smile only grew wider.

"Master, so did you dream about anyone else among us?" Roxanne asked, stepping forward eagerly.

I could tell she really wanted to hear her own name come up… and she wasn't the only one. Quite a few of the girls were looking at me expectantly.

"Yes, but there's no need to dwell on those stories too much," I said, waving my hand lightly. "Only a few of those dreams—like the ones about the princess and the witches—actually matched our situation."

A number of them didn't look fully satisfied with that answer, but I had no intention of narrating altered versions of their stories. It served no real purpose—as those "dreams" weren't real to begin with.

"Kunou, come here. It's your turn," I said, beckoning the small fox girl.

She approached shyly. Since the water was already up to her shoulders, I had to gently pull her up a bit to position her properly.

"Ah! Master—you asked me about all those names earlier… was that because you saw me in your dream too? Were those names related to that?" Anastasia asked, surprised.

"Yes, that's exactly why I asked," I replied with a wry smile. "Many of those dreams took place in completely different kinds of worlds—kingdoms and cities I've never even heard of."

"That's also why I'm telling you not to focus on them too much for now."

As I spoke, my hands were already at work, gently covering Kunou's soft golden fox ears with foam, taking a bit of time to enjoy their warmth and softness.

"But Master… these dreams happening to you, and then you meeting the same people later… isn't that too connected to ignore?" Viviana asked thoughtfully.

"Master, it's your power—it can't be useless," Roxanne added, clenching her fist with conviction.

"It could even be some kind of message from the gods," Jasmine said excitedly.

"Maybe you get those dreams so you can help the person you see in them, Master," Remu added earnestly.

"Master is a Hero, so it all makes perfect sense!" Vesta chimed in brightly.

"Rem… maybe we were fated to meet Master," Ram said, sounding slightly awed.

"That must be it, Nee-sama," Rem replied, her cheeks deeply flushed.

I could already feel a headache forming.

Here I was, just trying to pass off my meta knowledge as dreams… I had hoped they would simply dismiss it as something strange and move on.

Instead, they had latched onto it completely—and were now building their own theories one after another.

"At the end of the day, these are just dreams my bloodline power shows me," I said with a sigh. "I don't want you all getting too obsessed over it."

As I spoke, I had already finished washing Kunou's hair. Since it was short, it didn't take long—just like with Setsuna.

…Though I did take my time playing with her ears before finally rinsing her head clean.

"Hmm… that felt amazing, Master… haa… I'm getting sleepy now…" Kunou muttered, her eyes half-lidded with a drowsy smile.

I chuckled softly at her cuteness and beckoned Yasaka forward.

"Please take good care of me, Master," Yasaka said with a sultry smile. "I want to feel just as good as my dear little Kunou did."

…Fuck, there was definitely a double meaning there.

I chose to ignore it, keeping a calm expression as I began washing her hair.

"Master, maybe you should at least share these dreams with the person they're about," Sherry said, rubbing her chin as she steered the conversation back. "It might give us some clues as to why you're having them in the first place."

"Maybe Master's dreams aren't just about the past… but about things that haven't happened yet," Erina said, looking at me with shining eyes. "So that Master can save people like a true Hero!"

Hearing her say that so earnestly made me glance at her in surprise.

"Ah—! S-Sorry I got carried away Master…" she stammered, quickly hiding her flushed face behind her palms.

"No… Erina might be right. These could be something like prophetic dreams," Viviana said thoughtfully.

"I think I read about something like that in an old storybook… maybe I should look into it in the library," Sherry muttered to herself.

At that point, I had already stopped responding to their growing theories.

My focus had shifted entirely to the blonde foxgirl in front of me—her soft moans slipping out as my fingers worked through her hair, massaging her scalp slowly.

"Master… did I appear in your dream too?" Yasaka asked, her golden eyes looking up at me.

"Yes," I nodded, letting out a small sigh as I gathered more foam.

"Was… Kunou there with me?" she asked quietly.

"Yes, she was," I replied. "And before you ask—it wasn't a bad dream, so you don't have to worry."

There was some stuff happening in DXD which could be considered bad for both of them, but nothing like what happened with Setsuna.

"Oh… I see…" Yasaka murmured, a faint, almost teasing smile forming on her lips. "It makes me happy… knowing Master was having naughty dreams about Kunou and me."

"They weren't that kind of dreams," I corrected, though my hands didn't stop as they moved over her fox ears, slowly working the foam in.

At the same time, my eyes kept drifting… drawn again and again to her wet cleavage rising from the water.

"They were just about you two living together peacefully. Nothing more."

"Hmm… that does sound nice," Yasaka said with a soft grin. "But also a little lonely."

Her golden eyes locked onto mine.

"But I'm not jealous of that dream…" she continued, her voice lowering slightly, "…because now, we both have you, Master… to fill that emptiness… in our heart… repeatedly!"

As she spoke, her hand slid over her wet breasts, slowly squeezing them with a knowing smirk.

My hands stalled mid-motion.

And I couldn't help but swallow hard…

completely caught in the heat of this shamelessly erotic display.

"Master, I'm glad you dreamed about us," she said, gently placing her hands over my foam-covered ones. "I wouldn't mind fulfilling anything you saw us doing." She gave me a wicked grin.

Was she really implying what I thought she was implying?

Instead of answering, I grabbed a bucket from the side and poured it slowly over her head.

"You need to cool off a bit," I said as I rinsed the foam from her hair.

The cool water splashed over both of us, and I couldn't help but feel a bit refreshed.

Honestly, being constantly teased and pushed by her was starting to get to me. This should at least teach her not to mess with her Master.

"Ahhh so refreshing! Thank you very much, Master. I hope I can repay your generosity properly" Yasaka said as she turned around, her wet hair clinging to her back, her smile still as sultry as ever.

…Yeah, she hadn't learned a thing.

"Next time when it's your turn, don't expect me to hold back," I said, lightly brushing my fingers along her cheek with a smirk.

"Both Kunou and I will be waiting, Master," she replied with a graceful bow.

She stepped away looking completely satisfied—like getting a reaction out of me was exactly what she wanted.

"Master, tell me what I was like in your dream!" Shea said, hopping closer. "Was I the Queen of all Rabbitkins?" she asked eagerly.

"I must have been a Wealthy Merchant in your dream at least, right?" Anastasia added quickly.

"I'm sure I would have stayed by Master's side even in the dream," Roxanne said with quiet confidence.

It seemed all of them were still eager to hear about these dreams.

Even after I made it clear that not all of them were pleasant… their curiosity hadn't faded in the slightest.

In the end, I had no choice but to give in.

"Fine," I sighed. "Every night… I'll share one dream with you all."

A small ripple of excitement spread through the bath immediately.

Looks like I had just created another routine for this household.

Bath time stories instead of bedtime ones.

…Though Bedtime was already reserved for something far more exciting!
