Chapter 423 - Story 27, Cursed Edgerunner Chapter 3

My door-dashed automatic pistol came with a lovely instruction manual... And apparently due to me buying a thousand rounds all at once. They were so kind as to include a complimentary recycled drum magazine!

And by 'recycled' that meant when some dumbass gangster tried to rob my Doordash driver said Doordash driver noticed the robber piece was using the same ammo type as I was and after killing the dude gave me the drum magazine for giving him a good tip for his speedy delivery.

Good dude honestly. Looked like he was a week from going cyberpyscho with all the shit-tier implants shoved into his body, but hey I grew up around vets in my previous life so I was used to people with hair-trigger PTSD so I just sent him off with a beer and he was happy.

But with the automatic pistol in hand along with some unmarked gold coins I ordered in a separate delivery from a good bit of my remaining funds I looked myself over... And seeing I was in good order I mentally willed the special ring I had to open the portal.

And with a loud thrumming noise I saw a multi-colored portal opening up that was similar to the portal that initially sent me here to this universe.

'Please for the love of god... Send me to Vale or Mistral. Don't fucking send me to Vacou.' I thought as I took a deep breath before stepping into the swirling portal of light.

-

After a quick nauseating trip through dimensional space that made my Cyberdeck uncomfortably heat up I was ejected out of the portal with my form sliding outwards as I came to a stop and I blinked as I took in my surroundings.

'Ok Jake... It looks like Asian, building style everywhere. So either I landed in Chinatown in Vale or I landed in Mistral.' I thought as I took in my surroundings and my lips twitched as I saw a couple of people who were sitting at a park bench gawking at where I came out of the portal.

So I just cheekily waved at them before I continued leaving the park and heading downhill as I realized the city of Mistral was built atop two large mountains and surrounded by tall walls.

Once I got away from the scene of the crime I found a nice-looking old lady and I asked kindly. "Excuse me miss, could you tell me where I can find a gun or weapon store?"

The old lady gave me a gimlet look before she blinked and took in my form again for a long moment before she croaked out. "Ah I see young man. You must be a huntsmen from outside of Mistral. Anyway lad, you just need to head down this way and you will find the Xiong clan's Armory."

I blinked hearing that before nodding and saying respectfully. "Thank you for the help miss. Have a nice day."

And with that, I headed down the road she pointed at and after a bit, I think... I think I found what she meant.

It wasn't a shop, no it was seemingly an estate in some clear disarray and as I saw a metal sign with the words Xiong Clan engraved upon it, my hand around my pistol that was hidden in my jacket tightened as a young woman's voice spoke out.

"May I help you sir?"

I looked to the side and I saw a woman in her early twenties who was wearing a set of tight-fitting backless shirt and shorts with her having a pair of fox ears popping out of the top of her head.

Seeing the fox ears twitch I was transfixed for a moment before the woman coughed and said. "Uhm... You are standing in front of my door."

I blinked and shook my head with a bit of embarrassment entering my expression as I coughed and said. "I am sorry, yeah I was looking for the Xiong Armory. I was hoping to consult with them about a weapon along with getting my aura unlocked?"

The fox woman blinked as I stepped away from the large wooden gate before she smiled and nodded her head. "I see... Then please follow me inside to the meeting room and I will bring my father to see you."

My body was all kinds of fucked up due to the implants those bastards put in and took out of me as they tested the implant loads on my body. And right now I still had slots in my body for implants that just weren't there and it was... Fucking terrible feeling the hollow parts of my body.

In specific, although I had my Gorilla Arms, I was missing the Mantis Blade on my right arm, and my Projectile Launch system on my left arm that previously synched up to my synthetic eyes I had. Lastly, I was missing the Monofilament wire that both my arms had.

It really... Really fucking sucked feeling the hollow weight in my hollow synthetic limbs and I hated it beyond anything really.

So I was hoping I could have these guys mill out parts for my implant's bigger bits while I could buy the finicky bits back in the Cyberpunk universe. Before I could work to put them back together over time.

I followed the fox faunus into the estate and as my eyes naturally slid to her ass... I couldn't help the disappointed feeling that she didn't have a fox tail as well. But I quickly got my act together as the girl spoke softly.

"My name is Feixiao Xiong, What is the name of my family's guest?" She asked curiously.

"My name is Jake Barriss." I replied calmly as Feixiao took me inside before she opened up a sliding door that led into a formal meeting room she pointed at a seat on the floor before she spoke.

"Then Jake, please take a seat while I get my father from the forges. In that time, please consider what exactly you want to commission along with ordering and drawings you may have in for the project." She said firmly and I nodded in understanding.

So while she left me in the room alone for a good minute I did as she said and took out the pages I had of the mono-wire I had for the wire itself that I wanted it made out of Dust forged metal to enhance its cutting power.

And for the actual blades for the Mantis Blade slot I had in my arm, I wanted it to hopefully have some kind of lightning or wind dust infusion to help its ability to cut if that was possible at least.
