Chapter 134 - Vigilantes 7

Anyone who was hooked on it would struggle with their withdrawal and addiction, making it difficult for them to go without it for long.

The price of such a thing was quite high, making them have to pay whatever it was.

If they could not pay that money, then they would have to continue to suffer.

Once they paid the money, they were able to give themselves a time where they were free from their suffering, and they would be able to experience that same feeling again, where their worries and pain were gone, replaced with an euphoric feeling.

The cycle would continue for as long as it lasted.

They would keep coming for a new fix until they were drained of their money.

If they were lacking in money, then they would have to seek out other ways, whether it was getting a loan by putting up their existing assets as collateral or something else just as dangerous.

Things would eventually spiral downward until they were completely without anything to use, and everything would be taken away from them.

People would have their homes taken away by force by thugs, and they would be thrown out onto the street.

Others in worse situations would be taken away by the thugs, who would find other ways to get the money that had been owed.

The current victim had been the result of the most recent scene that had been created.

The situation was quite dire as there was little that could be done about the present situation.

Vigilantes could do a lot more as they could take action in ways that others could not, but there was one big issue that could not be overcome so easily.

The property deed and other related things were already in the hands of those behind it.

It was only a matter of time before more people would be sent to claim everything.

If the owner remained, the same thing would happen again.

The owner would become a target once more, but that was not the only problem that existed.

The owner of the house was already addicted to what had been given to them, resulting in the current situation that had unfolded.

It would not be so easy for them to suddenly be able to get over that addiction.

Addiction could be dangerous in many ways, especially when it comes to withdrawal.

Proper methods were needed that only certain facilities could provide.

It was just as much of a problem that there was little that was known about the addictive thing that had been the cause of it all.

If the wrong thing was used to assist with the withdrawal and to treat the cause of it, it could end up having more of a negative impact than being helpful to such a person.

There were too many unstable factors involved that could not be controlled.

A person suffering from severe addiction and withdrawal could not only be a danger to themselves but also to others.

If they did not get what they needed, then the symptoms could have all kinds of negative influences on their physical and mental state.

It was possible that it could be so severe that they could die from the withdrawal due to seizures, convulsions, psychotic symptoms, and cardiovascular collapse.

The risk would be much higher with prolonged use and higher doses, and sudden halting of taking them could be fatal without proper medical supervision.

If there were nobody with proper training and knowledge about the cause of it, then it would put an even greater risk to the life of such a person.

There would be people who would be able to live through it and get through the addiction and withdrawal, but it could result in all kinds of aftereffects.

One of them could be the result of their health and physical state declining, while there could still be lingering effects left over, which could make it all the easier to fall back into that very same addiction.

Even if they were able to overcome it and rebuild their life, they were even more vulnerable should they be exposed to such a thing once again.

From how things had been explained, it seemed like there were various versions of it that were being pushed around by the Black Wolves.

There was a cheaper version that was just as addictive but had fewer effects and could hold off the withdrawal for a shorter time.

The more expensive version was more effective in many ways, as it let the user experience stronger feelings of euphoria, and they would be able to hold out for a little while longer before they started to feel the withdrawal hit them.

It was slightly less addictive than the cheaper version, while it had been made to give the body what was needed to reduce the withdrawal symptoms and prolong the time before the withdrawal symptoms would begin.

It was slightly more tailored to high-paying people who wanted to experience a high and to keep them hooked on it without taking things too far.

There were always people who came from stronger influences of power and money who could become targets for such a product.

If they became hooked on it, then they would use their own funds or the funds of their family to pay for it, but they would only have so much money that they could use before things would be noticed by those around them, or things would start affecting their relationships or business.

If someone wished to feel greater effects and experience a greater high, as they would be put into a far more euphoric state, they would have to pay more for it, so it was targeted more toward the rich.
