Chapter 104 - Ch.106 Reaching the dungeon

It has been a week since Ryuu has been traveling with the trio and their travels could be said to be quite fun and adventurous.

They seem to be a magnet for trouble as even with Ryuu being with they have been able to get in quite weird situations.

One time they got eaten by a carnivorous plant, the other they fell into a hole dug by some monster moles. As Ryuu wasn't really. using any specialized sense technique currently, even though he was surprised by this situation.

In fact, he even checked them to see if they had any type of curse but it didn't seem to be the case. So to stop such situations from happening he even activated his true sense but still fell a little short of saving them from their stupidity.

So worried for them he added some protection magic on them so that they could at least survive an attack from a S-rank monster once.

After a week of traveling, they were only a few days away from the entrance of the dungeon and they had made a camp near a pond after clearing the monsters there.

"You guys are quite the trouble market aren't you," Ryuu said as he took a sip of the hot soup.

"Hehe" All of them gave an awkward laugh as they looked away from Ryuu.

For the show they had shown Ryuu, they were quite embarrassed after all most of the incidents they got into were kinda their fault.

"Anyway, we are quite close to the Dungeon so, when are you going to join with that party," Ryuu asked as he looked in the direction of the dungeon.

As he was quite near the dungeon he could see the magicule emitted by it and also the large chunk of magicule that lay beneath the dungeon. That chunk is most like the dungeon boss and if the magicule amount is anything to go by this monster is a high S- Rank Monster, which should be stronger than Clayman by a decent amount.

He also scanned the area nearby and only found 6 to seven A-rank monsters roaming about, collectively being a threat to a city.

"Well, we are supposed to meet them in the temporary building erected by the guild near the dungeon," Kaval spoke as he pointed in the general direction of the building.

It was decently far from the city meaning that they would have to part ways tomorrow.

"I see, so we will be parting tomorrow," Ryuu muttered as he heard Kaval's words.

Hearing his muttering the trio became a little gloomy as they found it quite fun to travel with Ryuu.

Although his mask and built physique make him look quite intimidating he is quite a nice person. Plus he is strong and not arrogant which is quite rare to find among adventurers.

"Well, what with the sad faces it's not like we will never meet," Ryuu said as he looked at them.

"Really do you think we will meet again," Elyan said as she looked at Ryuu with anticipation.

"Well, we are in the same world so one day our paths will cross again," Ryuu replied to her question. Well he won't be always in this world in fact he is leaving quite soon but it's not like he will not return. After all, he has made quite deep connections in this world with a few people, them being Shizu, Chloe, and the kids, Ramiris, Hinata, and even Yuuki.

"Yes, you are right," Elyan said as she nodded her head. After all as an elf, she has a lifespan of 1000 years so there is no way they won't meet again. As for why she thinks Ryuu will live for so long, well let's call it her intuition.

After all, she is quite sure Ryuu's true race isn't a human as the magicule emanating from is not something humans possess. So being one of the most magicule sensitive races in this world she has complete faith in her deduction.

"Well, then let us create a camp here as nighttime is quite close," Ryuu said as he stood up.

..

..

At the time when Ryuu was attending the Walpurgis, a group of brave adventurers had planned a daring expedition.

That expedition is entering and clearing the dungeon "Dragon's Lair" which has claimed the lives of many adventurers.

It was a two-man-led party with about forty party members, twenty among them being A-rank adventurers, fifteen B-rank adventurers, and five C-rank adventurers.

As for the two leading them both of them were A+ rank adventures who had already made quite a name for themselves.

Among the two leading one of them came in the front and stood in front of the assembly, he was quite a tall figure almost seven feet in high, and was wearing shiny golden armor.

He was relatively handsome and looked to be in his thirties with short blond hair and some battle scars on his face.

There was a large bastard sword and a shield behind his back and he was imposing an imposing aura.

Behind him, the other A+ rank adventurer was wearing a red wizard dress and was holding a long staff that looked like a tree branch with various jewels embedded into it.

He had long green hair and from his ears, it can be said that he was of the elf lineage.

"Are all of you Ready!!" The golden armored man shouted as he looked at the adventurers in front of him.

As for the reply, it was quite underwhelming as most of them had concerned and unsure looks on their faces.

"I know you guys are scared and have every right to be. But don't worry as today our party won't meet the same fate as those who came before us." Seeing the silence the man shouted with even greater vigor.

"Why?, simply because I am leading this part. I, Han's "The Golden Shield of the West" will make sure that this expedition is a success. Plus the one behind me is Mortem "The Forests Wrath"."

"With the two of us here it isn't a matter of if, it is a matter of when. So don't be afraid as after clearing this dungeon we will be held as heroes and you as the hero's party. We will be as famous as that new hero Ryuu, so are you guys ready." Hans shouted.

"Yesssss" All of them shouted back getting some confidence after hearing Han's speech.

Seeing the scene Hans smirked as he imagined the future of being held as a hero overshadowing the hero Ryuu. After all, how can he, Han lose to a newly promoted A+ rank kid?

"Well then now that's done, it's time to give you your posts," Mortem said as he came forward. He was the one who came up with this plan after gathering information from various adventurers who had managed to return.

Well, the party formation goes like this, Han's in the front with ten other short-ranged combatants. Behind them were a group of five A-rank and the ten B-rank adventurers protecting the Mages and Mortem who were behind them. Behind them were the five C-rank adventurers tasked with the job of a Carrier and each had a B-rank adventure in front of them.

Due to knowing that the boss of the dungeon was a dragon, the way to kill it was quite simple to pierce its magicule core near the head or destroy its heart. They chose the core option as the heart of a dragon was quite valuable, worth 10,000,000 gold coins.

So with all the plans ready they headed into the dungeon seeking to have all of it's glory for themselves.
