As she walked through the city the older folks and those who had lived in this city for a while welcomed her.
Shizu thanked them back while still making her way toward her friend's house. Finally, after walking for a while, she arrived in front of a tree with doors and windows.
Well, most houses looked the same here but from this one, you can smell the scent of medicine, herbs, minerals, etc.
Shizu knocked on the door and waited for it to open. With the sound of tools falling and hurried footsteps the door opened.
"Yes, do you need anything?" A young woman's voice shouted.
"It's been a while Silica," Shizu said.
"Ah, Shizu it's been a while," Silica exclaimed as she gave Shizu a bear hug burying her in jugs.
Silica was a woman who looked like someone in their late twenties with long flowing pale blond hair. She had milky white skin and was quite tall, well tall enough that Shizu's face was buried in her breasts. Talking about which they were quite large, maybe G cup.
If goods that she wears baggy clothes and with her sleep-deprived looking eyes she isn't swarmed by any form of suitors.
"What are you standing here for, come inside," Silica said as she broke the hug and entered the house.
"Sure," Shizu said as she gave a small smile to her.
Entering the house what came to view was a pile of mess, various jars lying about. Clothes were not kept properly, and alchemy equipment was scattered throughout the house.
"Messy as always," Shizu remarked as she looked at the room.
"Hehe, well I get quite invested when doing research," Silica replied to Shizu's remark as she rubbed her head.
"Hah bet anyway let's clean this mess first, I will help you," Shizu said as she rolled up her sleeves.
"You will really, Thank you you are the best," Slilca said with starts in her eyes as she hugged Shizu.
"Hmjad" Shizu tried to say something but was blocked by the melons in front of her face.
Finally, after a while, Shizu was released and she looked at the huge melons of Silica and then looked at her own.
She was lost in thought for a while but quickly broke out of it and shook her head.
"Let's get to cleaning," Shizu said and walked toward the direction of the cleaning tools. But this time there was a hint of anger in her voice.
Silica wondered about the change in her mood while tilting her head but just shrugged her shoulders and walked toward Shizu's direction.
After an hour of cleaning and putting all the things in their respective places the home was finally cleaned. Now it looked like a proper house and not a garbage dump.
Shizu sat on a sofa as Silica gave her some cold fruit juice. After giving Shizu some juice she also took a glass and sat next to Shizu.
There was a calm silence in the room, Silica didn't say anything as she knew the reason for Shizu's visit.
"Silica did you find a way to help the kids?" Shizu asked directly as she looked at Silica.
"..No, I wasn't able to find a way to help them," Silica replied with a sad tone.
"I see can you tell me what's the problem," Shizu asked as she looked at the glass of juice.
"They have a way too great amount of Magicule poisoning. Normal humans of here would have died by now it's a miracle that they have survived till now. Well, you already know that what I am trying to say is that there is no way to stabilize them without degrading their condition."
"Then there is nothing that can be done."
"Sigh, I really wish I could do something but it's way above my abilities. Perhaps someone as ancient as The Demon Lords knows how to cure them." Silica remarked as she looked toward the ceiling.
"And even that is not certain. So don't you even think about it Shizu" Silica said as she looked at Shizu.
"Ah... Don't worry I am not stupid. And I don't think they have a way to cure them." Shizu said as she stood up.
"Shizu I know you are worried about them but please don't stress yourself," Silica said as she hugged Shizu from behind.

The news was quite devastating for Shizu after all her last hope to save the kids had just said she couldn't. The only reason she didn't broke down crying that time is because the promise Ryuu made to her about him helping the kids.
She didn't know the reason why but she had great trust in Ryuu even though he hasn't been in this world for more than three months.
Silica knew about Shizu current mental condition so she didn't let Shizu leave the city even though Shizu wanted to.
Looking at her friends condition Silica couldn't help but sigh as she wasn't the best in this kind of situation.
It had been a few days since Shizu arrived in the city and she hadn't mostly left the house. Although her mood had improved greatly she still sometimes gets lost in her thought.
Finally not being to see her friends condition like this anymore Silica made a plan.
"Shizu lets go shopping." Silica said.
Her plan was simple and that's was to let Shizu enjoy the market area and help her forget about her troubles for some time. It was simple but who said that a simple plan can't be effective.
Shizu looked at her friend who had just called her out. Looking at her face she knew that her friend was worried about her. She also knew that there is no use stressing out unnecessary as it will just hinder her.
So thinking that it will be a good chance fer her to cool down she replied.
"Sure."
"Yayyyyy" Silica said and hugged Shizu.
"Then lets go."
As she said that she dragged out of the out while holding her hands. Shizu just sighed and followed along.
