This sentence was actually more of a statement than a question. Strong as Renie was, she already knew the relationship between Fisher and those Ladies; she could understand Fisher's thoughts without guessing.
But to Fisher's surprise, this sentence didn't seem to carry much jealousy, instead, there was a hint of melancholy.
