As Deoxys flew toward Ash, Ash flicked his hand upward as the two Poké Balls flew up and opened in a flash of light.
When the light faded, Deoxys' fist was stopped before it could reach Ash. By what, you may ask? Well, it was Deoxys 2 that stopped it.
Then, before Deoxys 1 could react to seeing its friend do this, the second Poké Ball opened, and from it came Darkrai, who immediately used a [Brutal Swing] to slap Deoxys 1 away.
Everyone kinda stopped at that since, you know, there was now one Pokémon they knew of, Darkrai, and a second one of the weird Pokémon, Deoxys, so they were understandably a little confused.
Even Guile paused for half a second.
"…What," Gary said flatly.
Greta blinked twice, "Why does he have a Darkrai?!"
"And another one of that weird tentacle Pokémon?" Brandon shouted.
"Since when was that a thing?!" Green added while pointing at Ash like this was somehow his fault, especially since, you know, it might have been nice to know that her friend had another one of the Pokémon that strangled her and Wally not even two days ago.
Meanwhile, Deoxys recovered midair and skidded backward through the sky, staring at the second Deoxys in complete confusion.
The second Deoxys floated silently in front of Ash protectively while Darkrai spread its arms slightly, black mist rolling off its body.
Ash didn't even look back at the others, "Not the time," he said simply.
"But how did you even-" Brock started.
"We have bigger things to worry about," Ash cut him off immediately while pointing toward Guile, "Starting with getting Jirachi back. If we all get through this, maybe I'll give you an explanation."
But before anyone else could say anything, Deoxys suddenly vanished in a red blur.
"Above!" Ash shouted instantly.
Darkrai reacted immediately, thrusting one arm upward just as Deoxys reappeared overhead in Attack Forme, firing a point-blank [Zap Cannon] downward.
Darkrai's shadow exploded upward and collided with the attack midair, black darkness and crackling electricity detonating together across the sky.
At the same time, Ash's Deoxys shot forward and slammed into the other Deoxys head-on, the two alien Pokémon crashing through the air so fast they became streaks of red and blue light.
Shockwaves burst across the rooftop every time they collided.
Meanwhile, Ash pointed directly toward Guile, "I'll deal with this. Everyone else, focus on them!"
"Gladly," Gary said, immediately stepping forward as this time he brought out Umbreon and Blastoise. As he did, he went to his neck and pulled out his Keystone, which he kept as a necklace, "About time we took things more seriously."
"Oh right," Green said as she went to her pocket and pulled out her Keystone, which she had made into an earring, and quickly put it on, "Let's finish this," she said, quickly throwing out her Venusaur.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Brock said as he reached under his shirt and tore off his Keystone necklace, holding it as he released his Tyranitar.
"Uh…I don't really have that," Wally said. I mean, he had one, Brendan gave him one, but that was for a Sceptile, and his hadn't evolved into a Sceptile yet.
"It's fine, just gotta do your best," Brendan said as he pulled out his bracelet and let out Swampert. Then he looked over to the Frontier Brains, "But I don't suppose any of you can go Mega, right?"
They all quickly shook their heads except for Anabel, who checked her pockets, "I had a Keystone, but I don't know where it is. Guile must have taken it from me when he knocked me out."
"Then we'll just have to take it back by force," Noland added.
Guile glared at them and narrowed his eyes, "You think this changes anything?" he asked coldly.
Gary smirked and tightened his grip on his Keystone, "Nah." Then he held it up, "But it's gonna make beating you a whole lot easier."
At once, they all pressed their Keystones, and the rooftop started shining with bright light as Blastoise, Venusaur, Tyranitar, and Swampert all transformed into their Mega Forms.
Guile had to cover his eyes for a moment from the bright light, but when he opened them again, Gary quickly commanded, "[Hydro Cannon]!"
The giant cannons on Mega Blastoise's shell instantly fired, launching a massive beam of water straight toward Guile.
He tried to jump out of the way since, believe it or not, dodging is better than blocking.
But then Green called out, "Mega Venusaur, [Frenzy Plant]!"
Mega Venusaur stomped its feet onto the ground as vines started bursting out of the building. The vines wrapped around Guile's feet before he could try to fly away. Guile tried to cut the vines off, but then the blast of water came and slammed into him.
The blast of water slammed into Guile and launched him straight through another ruined section of the rooftop.
The moment he disappeared into the smoke, Brandon pointed forward, "Registeel, [Flash Cannon]!"
A silver beam shot through the smoke immediately after the [Hydro Cannon], detonating inside with another explosion.
"Oh yeah, let's do this!" Greta shouted, "Umbreon, [Dark Pulse]!"
"You too," Gary added.
Both Umbreon ran forward and jumped into the air, firing two [Dark Pulse] attacks into the smoke cloud too.
The blasts of darkness detonated, sending all the dust away and clearing the way for everyone to see Guile slashing his sword down and sending out a golden slash.
"MOVE!" Noland shouted instantly.
Everyone scattered as the slash carved across the rooftop, slicing straight through broken steel and concrete like paper before flying back into one of the buildings. Guile then shot directly toward Brandon as the sword glowed gold again.
"Registeel, block it!" Brandon called out.
Registeel moved in front of him just as Guile's blade crashed against its body. Registeel managed to grab onto the blade and hold its own for a second, but then Guile pushed even harder.
Metal screamed as Registeel got launched backward into Brandon, both of them skidding across the rooftop together.
"Brandon!" Noland shouted.
But before Guile could follow up, something massive slammed into him from the side.
Ash's shiny Slaking roared as it drove both fists into Guile's armor and tackled him clean through another ruined structure. When they all looked over, they saw Ash giving them a thumbs up while he was still fighting Deoxys.
"Come on, don't just sit there. I'm still helping you guys," Ash said as he snapped his fingers. Vee jumped up and landed on Deoxys 2 before flying up and going after Deoxys 1.
Now, the main thing here is that these two just got tamed by Ashtwo. They hadn't had time to go heal up, so they were at like 40% max power since they had to fight to make Darkrai stop trying to turn D to stone. But that was still enough, especially with Pikachu and Vee helping. That was more than enough to take on Deoxys 1.
But Pikachu was staying back for now, for a certain reason.
But then, from behind everyone, Malde lurked, watching. Then he looked at Guile and down to his Poké Ball belt, and there he saw Jirachi's Poké Ball. He smirked and flew forward fast, trying to steal it. It didn't matter if he couldn't beat Guile. As long as he had Jirachi, he would win.
But Gary saw him and reacted first, "Oh no you don't!" Gary snapped.
Mega Blastoise instantly pivoted and fired another [Hydro Cannon], but Malde didn't care about dodging. His body twisted unnaturally as the blast tore through half his torso, but he kept flying as he was already regenerating.
But thanks to Gary shooting that, Guile noticed and turned to glare at Malde, "You dare?"
He was going to blast everyone with another sword slash, but instead he turned and slashed at Malde, slicing his arm clean off before he could grab the Poké Ball.
As Malde grunted in pain, Guile also wound back his leg and kicked Malde in what was left of his chest hard enough to send him flying back.
Guile immediately ran toward Malde, determined to stab him until he stopped moving, regeneration be damned.
But this was exactly what the group wanted, since of course Ash had come up with a plan and told them what to do. Now it was time to pull it off.
Green grinned as she pointed forward, "Venusaur, [Frenzy Plant]!"
Massive vines burst upward again, this time wrapping around both Guile and Malde, holding them down. Granted, not for long, as they both immediately started pulling against the vines to rip free, but that was all they needed.
"Now!" Gary shouted, not just at everyone to attack, but over at Anabel too.
She nodded and held her hands out, and while all the Pokémon charged up their moves, Anabel's eyes glowed slightly as she started using her psychic powers.
Jirachi's Poké Ball started glowing as it unclasped itself from Guile's belt and started floating away.
Guile and Malde noticed and immediately started reaching for it, both trying to grab it before the other. But just when they were about to reach it, in a flash, it was gone.
As they both immediately started looking around, they saw Pikachu appear on Ash's shoulder, holding Jirachi's Poké Ball and dropping it into his hand.
Ash noticed and smiled, spinning it in his hand, "Oops, was this important?" he said. Then he flicked his wrist, and the Poké Ball vanished.
Well, to everyone else it looked like Ash had just pulled a magic trick, but he had actually just put the Poké Ball into his personal storage for safekeeping.
Before they could yell at him, Blastoise, Venusaur, Registeel, Umbreon, Claydol, Milotic, Tyranitar, Swampert, Gallade, Combusken, Alakazam, and Slaking all attacked at once.
The rooftop lit up with attacks from every direction as they blasted both Guile and Malde with powerful moves like [Flash Cannon], [Dark Pulse], [Psychic], [Hydro Pump], [Stone Edge], Ect
The tower shook from the force, causing a giant smoke cloud to spread across half the tower, for a moment, it looked like they had finally won.
But just when they started relaxing, another sword slash exploded out from the smoke.
The attack tore straight through Registeel, Claydol, Milotic, Ninjask, and both Umbreon, instantly knocking them out while also blasting Mega Swampert and Mega Tyranitar so hard they were knocked out of their Mega Forms.
While everyone stared in shock at what had happened, the smoke began to clear, and standing there, Guile was somehow still standing as he dragged his sword across the ground.
And beside him, Malde was already regenerating again.
But instead of looking at the group that had just attacked them, both of their heads immediately turned toward Ash.
And above them, Deoxys stopped fighting Ash's Deoxys for a moment and slowly floated downward, its glowing eyes locking onto Ash too.
Now Ash was the main target for all three of them.
"…Well," Brock muttered while staring at that, "That's not terrifying at all."
Wally tightened his grip on Gallade's Poké Ball, "Ash…"
But Ash just stood there with Pikachu on one shoulder and Vee on the other. Then he smiled, his usual mocking smile.
"Oh wow," Ash said while slipping one hand into his pocket, "You guys all wanna jump me now? I'm touched."
Gary immediately groaned, "Seriously? This is when you start trash talking?"
"Hey, it's not Ash if he's not like this," Green said, nudging him.
"Is this really the time?" Anabel asked, looking exasperated that they didn't seem to grasp how serious this was.
"Trust me, this is pretty normal," Gary said, waving his hand dismissively.
As this was happening, everyone who had lost a Pokémon quickly returned their unconscious Pokémon and threw out another one if they had one left, except for Brandon and Noland, who were now out of Pokémon just like Tucker. So the best they could do right now was get out of the way and off the tower.
Spenser had to bring out his Crobat, Lucy brought out Seviper, Greta only had a Heracross left, Brendan's next on the list was Magcargo, and Brock threw out Sudowoodo.
Yeah, dream team, but everyone was running low, and not everyone was like Ash, who had like ten or more Pokémon on him at once.
But now everyone had a new objective: protect Ash and take down these three.
Deoxys 1 moved first, vanishing from sight, but Ash followed along somehow. He knew where Deoxys 1 was going to go. He didn't know why yet, but he'd figure that out in a second.
"To my left!" Ash shouted instantly.
Wally pointed forward while coughing hard into his sleeve, "[Psycho Cut]"
Gallade ran forward quickly, spun, and slashed outward just as Deoxys reappeared beside Ash. The glowing blade collided against Deoxys' arm and knocked the alien Pokémon slightly off course.
That tiny opening was enough as Ash whistled, and Darkrai's shadows exploded upward from the rooftop and wrapped around Deoxys' legs while Ash's Deoxys slammed into it from above, driving both of them high into the air again.
"Pikachu," Ash called out, pointing straight into the sky, and Pikachu understood, jumping off his shoulder and charging a [Thunder].
Deoxys 1 noticed the storm clouds appearing over it, so it was about to move, but then Deoxys 2 appeared and wrapped its tentacles around Deoxys 1, holding it in place and leaving it no time to move. So Deoxys 1 got hit directly by the thunder.
Meanwhile, on the ground, as Ash was pointing into the air, Guile moved, running toward Ash, but as he did, Brock called out, "Sudowoodo!"
And at the same time, Ash pointed behind him, "Vee," he commanded, and Vee understood. Turning quickly, he jumped forward and used a [Baddy Bad].
The move hit Guile and created a screen in front of them, so when Guile's sword came down, it clashed against the barrier uselessly.
And at that moment, Sudowoodo finally reached Guile and hit him with a [Hammer Arm], sending him tumbling across the rooftop.
At the same time, Malde's body burst apart into tendrils again.
"Not this again-" Greta started.
Tentacles shot toward the group from every direction.
"Heracross, [Megahorn]!"
Heracross charged forward, spinning violently, and smashed through several tendrils at once while Crobat swooped overhead, firing rapid [Air Slashes] to cut apart the others.
Malde laughed wildly while regenerating more limbs, and Gary looked annoyed while May and Wally just felt uncomfortable.
"Somebody please knock this guy unconscious already," Gary groaned.
"On it," Green said as she called out, "Venusaur!"
Thick vines erupted upward and wrapped around Malde's torso and legs before violently slamming him into the rooftop.
Green pointed over at May, "Come on."
"Right!" May said as she pointed forward, "Combusken, [Blaze Kick]!"
May's Combusken ran across the roof and jumped up before coming down with an axe kick into Malde's chest, making him cough out what might have been blood, except it was blue.
Then Malde gritted his teeth, and his body immediately started melting around the vines as more tendrils burst outward.
But before he could fully escape, Anabel called out.
"Alakazam, [Psychic]," she said, one hand holding her scarf and the other pointing forward.
Anabel's Alakazam appeared beside her with both spoons raised while psychic energy crushed inward from every direction.
"Everyone!" Anabel shouted, "Hit him now!"
"Gladly!" Greta yelled.
Heracross, Seviper, Magcargo, Slaking, and Umbreon all attacked at once using a combination of [Dark Pulse], [Flamethrower], [Poison Tail], [Hyper Beam], and then Slaking just punched him.
As the explosion shook the tower again and the dust cleared, Malde was still there, but he was regenerating much slower now and breathing heavily.
Ash noticed and smirked. Looks like he was finally starting to reach his limit.
Meanwhile, Malde struggled to stand as he looked off to the side of the building, "Why aren't they here yet…"
And Guile, climbing out of the rubble, also looked off into the distance, wondering what was taking his "backup" so long.
But that's when they saw it. Out in the distance, on the north side of the island, was a Blastoise and Tyranitar standing next to a pile of frenzied rental Pokémon.
And on the south side of the island was a Venusaur and a shiny Beedrill that had all the people corrupted with the V-PKRS tied up.
All of them were Ash's Pokémon, and there were even more wandering the island to capture and knock out any remaining threats.
Why do you think Ash hadn't been using more of his Pokémon? He had sent them out to deal with all this.
After all, Ash may not have been prepared for both of these events to happen at once. That was the main thing that caused him to get caught off guard. But he improvised, so he sent Pokémon all over the island, and the only one who knew he had done this was Brandon.
That was also the same reason Ash hadn't used Abby yet. He had sent her off to find non-infected civilians and teleport them off the island.
The only reason the Nora incident happened the way it did was because that was around the time Ash got out of the Pyramid.
Like he said, he didn't expect both things to happen at once, but he did know about Guile turning Pokémon frenzy, and he knew Malde's plan to turn everyone like him, so he nipped that right in the bud.
As for the people that were already infected, well, nothing a Wish couldn't fix. After all, Jirachi grants three wishes.
But right now, Ash looked down at Malde and Guile with that same grin on his face, "What's wrong? You didn't think I would make things easy for you~"
Malde's expression twisted instantly, "…You little rat," he hissed.
Guile's grip on his sword tightened hard enough that if he wasn't wearing armor, his hands would've started bleeding.
"Since when did you even have time to do all that?!" Greta shouted.
Gary snorted, "You really wanna ask that now?"
"Honestly, it was kinda obvious it was happening," Green said, putting her hands behind her head. It was important to note that Green absolutely did not know Ash was doing this.
Brock sighed into his hand, "You know, at some point you'd think I'd figure it out, but no, I always get surprised."
"Honestly, at this point, hearing Ash handled everything for us is pretty normal," May shrugged while looking at the Frontier Brains.
Said Frontier Brains stared with their mouths hanging open in shock. They did not think anyone would think that far ahead. Heck, they hadn't even thought that far ahead.
But then Malde looked into the distance and saw something approaching and smiled.
"Well, looks like you didn't account for everything," he said, seeing that Damian was at least flying toward them.
But Ash just gave him a lopsided smile again, "Oh really? Then what's this I have?" Ash said, holding a single Poké Ball in his hand.
Then he spun on his heel and saw Damian flying directly at him, but Ash just looked at the ball, "Remember the plan?"
The ball shook in his hand, Ash smiled and looked toward the setting sun. It may have been going down, but it was still technically daytime, so that meant he still had time.
Ash wound up and then threw the ball directly at the flying figure.
As the ball flew, it opened, and from it came Shaymin. And because it was daylight and it had the flower on it, it immediately changed into Sky Forme and began to fly.
Everyone watching thought it was going to be some dramatic hit that would knock Damian away, but they were definitely not expecting to see a Shaymin.
Damian, however, had a flicker in his eyes, though his expression didn't change yet.
His tentacles turned into a spear, and he was just about to thrust when Shaymin flew forward and tackled Damian in the chest, causing both of them to start falling toward the ground.
Damian raised his hand and was about to stab Shaymin, but then he stopped. His hand shook, and he looked at it like he was confused. But then he looked down and saw that Shaymin was hugging him. It caused his eyes to flicker and gloss over, then he slowly lowered his arms and hugged Shaymin back as they fell toward the ground.
And when Damian landed, he didn't get back up, and Shaymin didn't get off him, instead nuzzling against his head.
Ash turned back and looked at Malde mockingly, "So much for your trump card."
Then he looked up to where the two Deoxys and Darkrai were fighting before his eyes landed on Deoxys 1, "I think I understand it now."
During the fight, he had started hearing Deoxys 1's voice in his head, and he felt something pulling him toward it. And that's when he realized it, he didn't know how, but it seemed like Deoxys 1 had his DNA, like how Red did in the manga.
Ash smiled as he snapped his fingers, and Pikachu and Vee jumped up, landing on top of Deoxys 2 and firing a duo [Thunderbolt] into the air.
Deoxys 1 was too busy trying to defend against Deoxys 2 and Darkrai to notice the electricity until it got shocked directly.
Then, to finish it off, Darkrai and Deoxys 2 brought their hands together and slammed Deoxys 1 back down onto the top of the tower, right at Ash's feet.
And thanks to Pikachu and Vee's mutation, not only could they get rid of its legendary resistance, they could also shut off its regeneration for a bit.
Ash looked down at Deoxys 1 and pulled out another purple Poké Ball, his second and last Master Ball...at least until Kurt made him some more.
"You know, my DNA is pretty valuable. I hope you're ready to pay me back with interest."
Ash dropped the ball, and when it hit Deoxys 1, the Pokémon got sucked inside. The ball rolled three times before clicking shut. Ash caught the second Deoxys.
Guile, seeing this and watching all his plans go wrong, immediately became angrier than he ever had before.
Right now, all he cared about was getting rid of this nuisance. As long as he got Jirachi, nothing else mattered.
He released his sword and gathered all the energy the blade had absorbed throughout all of this before yelling out, "I've had enough of this! I will bury you in this tower!!!!"
And before anyone could stop him, he slammed the sword down.
A shockwave tore through the roof, causing the floor they were standing on to crack apart, people and Pokémon got thrown off the tower.
The only exceptions were Ash and Anabel, who managed to keep themselves standing using Aura and psychic power respectively.
Everyone else got blown away and started to fall, causing Ash's eyes to widen as he ran to the edge and grabbed multiple Poké Balls from his belt.
He had been saving this just in case, he threw them downward, "Catch them!"
As the Poké Balls flew out, they opened, and out came Togekiss, Aerodactyl, Swellow, Salamence, Metagross, and Dragonite.
They all immediately flew out, catching everyone and their Pokémon before they could fall too far.
Meanwhile, Pikachu and Vee got caught by Deoxys 2, and as for Anabel's Alakazam, it simply teleported itself back up.
Except for Slaking, he was fine, actually while falling, he fell asleep, and when he landed, he didn't even wake up. The most it caused him to do was roll over onto his other side.
But while everyone else was safe now, Ash turned to deal with Guile.
Only to hear Anabel shout, "Watch out!"
When Ash turned, Guile was already in front of him.
The sword slashed downward, tearing open Ash's jacket and cutting across his chest, causing blood to start pouring down.
"Ash NO!!!" his friends yelled out
But they were literally flying through the air, and for some reason, none of Ash's Pokémon were flying closer, even if some of them, especially Dragonite, looked visibly furious.
And before you ask why Ash didn't reinforce his body with Aura or block it, that was with Aura. the sword just managed to cut through it since he hadn't had enough time to make a proper shield.
But another thing was that the slash exposed the scar on Ash's chest.
Thankfully, everyone was too far away to get a good look at it, and the blood was covering most of it anyway.
But then Guile spun the blade around and stabbed Ash straight through the stomach, the sword coming out the other side covered in Ash's blood. As Ash coughed up blood, everyone watched in stunned silence as they saw their friend literally get run through.
Even Anabel, the closest one there and the only person who could really do anything, was frozen in shock.
Then Guile started feeling around Ash's pockets, muttering, "Where is it? Where is Jirachi's PokéBall?!"
Ash coughed one more time, then his hand slowly rose and grabbed Guile's hand on the hilt of the sword.
And then he pushed the sword in deeper, much to Guile's surprise. When Guile looked up, he saw Ash smirking at him, "Sorry, don't have it here. But looks like my backup is here. You don't mind if I hold onto this, do you?"
Before Guile could react, Charizard finally arrived in the distance.
He flew down like a comet and immediately hit Guile so hard that the floor underneath them collapsed, sending Guile falling down to the ninth floor. Ash would have fallen too, but Charizard caught him.
Ash coughed again and looked at him, "What took you so long?" That earned him a punch to the shoulder from Charizard, "Ow, okay, fair."
Anabel snapped out of her shock and ran to Ash's side quickly, "Ash, are you-wait, no, that's a bad thing to ask, we need to-" She frantically tried to think of what to do, but Ash stopped her.
"Don't worry about it. It'll heal. Besides, I got his sword away from him, didn't I?" Ash said as he gripped the hilt and pulled the sword out of himself, nearly stumbling in the process.
Then he placed his hand over his chest and began closing the wound with Aura.
"Did you really let yourself get stabbed so we could win?!?" Anabel asked with a shocked and horrified expression.
"Yeah, not my best plan, but it worked, didn't it?" Ash said once he finished closing the wound. He had still lost quite a bit of blood, but at least he wasn't going to bleed out anymore.
Speaking of which, he looked at the sword and flicked it, making the blood slide off the blade.
Meanwhile, Guile floated back up thanks to Surskit, and he glared at Ash, "Give it back!"
"Nah, but it's a pretty neat toy," Ash said while looking it over and smiling, "Think I'll keep it~"
Guile glared at him with hatred and tried to fly forward again, but not this time Charizard flew in and grabbed him before flying upward and then diving straight back toward the tower with Guile first.
Ash grabbed Anabel's hand and pulled her along, "Quick!" he shouted, not giving her time to think about what he was doing before he ran toward the edge of the tower and jumped off, still holding onto Anabel.
"What are we doing?!?!" Anabel shouted in shock.
Then she expected to start falling, but the feeling of wind never came. When she opened her eyes, she realized she was being held by something, when she looked up, she saw Darkrai.
Then she looked to the side and saw Ash being held by Deoxys 2 while Pikachu and Vee nuzzled against him.
But before she could say anything, Charizard came crashing down and slammed Guile through the tenth floor, then the ninth, then the eighth, Seventh, Sixth.
Charizard began smashing Guile through each and every floor of the tower, causing the structure to collapse around them floor by floor. And yeah, Malde was still in there.
Honestly, the tower was probably going to collapse anyway, but while Anabel had never really had time to properly make this place feel like hers, she still felt her chest tighten seeing it happen. She gripped her scarf tightly, twisting it around in her hand.
Ash finally looked at her, then at the scarf, but said nothing. Like, what was he gonna say? Admit that it was his scarf? Nope, he'd rather not. I mean, he didn't even know Anabel had held onto it, so he just gulped and kept watching the destruction.
When Charizard reached the bottom floor, the last of the tower collapsed.
But before you ask, Noland had taken care of grabbing every rental Pokémon they defeated as they went up, so no Pokémon got caught in there. Not that it mattered much anyway since most Pokémon could survive that.
Ash and Anabel reached the ground first. The rest of them were still in the air since Ash wasn't particularly in the mood to let them get involved in this anymore. They had done enough, now it was time to wrap things up.
The only reason he brought Anabel with him was because she could teleport, so there was no point leaving her behind. And Alakazam was floating beside them, glaring at Ash to put her down already.
Anyway, when they got to the ground, Charizard saw them and immediately flew over, holding onto Ash to make sure he was okay.
You know, after months apart, the first time he saw his trainer again involved him getting stabbed, so Charizard was a little more than justified in being worried.
But then the rubble shook, and Guile shouted again, "No! I won't let you stop me!"
He was about to make a dash toward Ash, but at that moment, two Pokémon arrived, Combusken and Grovyle ran in and appeared behind Guile.
They had been part of the patrol Ash sent out, but when they saw the tower collapse, they started racing toward the area as fast as they could, and when they spotted Guile, they immediately agreed that whoever hit the tin can first would be the winner.
So they appeared behind Guile and, with a combination of a slash and kick, hit him as hard as they could. Guile tried to stay standing, but without the sword, the armor no longer had a place to redirect the kinetic energy, so it started cracking.
Then, when Combusken and Grovyle saw that, they pushed even harder to break the armor completely. They started pushing so hard that they stopped holding back entirely, and both of them began to glow.
Both Pokémon grew and changed, evolving into Sceptile and Blaziken.
Then, with one final push, they slammed Guile into the ground and shattered the armor, causing the body inside to hit the wall and finally get knocked unconscious.
And immediately after Sceptile and Blaziken landed, they started arguing over who did more damage and who evolved first.
Then, before anyone could really take note of it, Malde suddenly pulled himself out of the rubble behind them and flew straight toward Ash, "Now it's mine!"
But Deoxys 2 was literally right there. So it calmly raised its arm, wrapped its tentacles around Malde's neck, and held him down.
Ash sighed, letting out one final breath of relief, before giving Deoxys 2 a thumbs up, "Hold onto him. I'll deal with him later."
Deoxys nodded and flew away, dragging Malde with him. But that was it, they won.
Guile, Malde, and Deoxys 1 had all been defeated. And right now, Ash really wanted to take a nap, but it was over, there was only one thing left to do
