Lu Zhenzhen pouted, let out a little hum that sounded almost like a sob. "I don't feel well."
"Where?" Gao Zhe panicked instantly. "Where do you feel uncomfortable? Where did I bump you?"
She's pregnant, okay? At a time like this, the moment she cries out, shouldn't your first thought go straight to her belly.
But all Gao Zhe could see was her.
Looking back over this period, Lu Zhenzhen felt not only that she'd been ridiculously melodramatic, but wronged too. Every time she told him to get lost, he really did get lost, and once he was gone she'd feel she'd gone too far, then get mad at herself and tangled up all over again. Her hormones were practically in revolt.
"Here."
Lu Zhenzhen caught his hand and put it over her heart. She leaned back, a throw pillow tucked behind her waist, her shoulders slightly off the back of the sofa. At that reclined angle, Gao Zhe's hand could rest flat on her chest.
"What's wrong with it?" Gao Zhe asked anxiously.
