Caius clicked his tongue in amusement, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Don't you think that we have cultivated a rather interesting understanding?" He leaned back as if savoring his own words. "I was still wracking my brain on how to rescue Vera when your imperial princess so conveniently volunteered herself as my hostage."

The atmosphere thickened with unspoken tension, the air heavy with their unvoiced thoughts.
"How troublesome," Seth thought to himself, irritation curling within him.
Her Imperial Highness had made such a grand spectacle, sabotaging their position by inadvertently losing the advantage the alien race once held.
