The red dragon narrowed her eyes at the green one.
"Fine!" She said shoving Canglo away from her. "But I'm taking the wizard with me!" She said, before taking a deep breath and breathing fire right into Canglo's face.
The green dragon was immune to fire of course, but she flinched nervously, having never fought another dragon before. Once she opened her eyes, Jaycie had already made it all the way across the room.
Soon enough she was descending towards Layla who had put herself in front of Lucy. The elf had her staff up and at the ready, her eyes locked on the dragon.
"Out of the way, elf!" Jaycie yelled, reading her claw as she drew near, but Layla stood firm waiting for the right moment.
The dragon came flying in, no one else in the room was fast enough to stop her this time. She swing her claw ready to simply swipe Layla away, but instead of impacting the elf, she hit a barrier of green light Layla had casted.
"GAH!" Jaycie growled in anger, after her claw bounced off it, but to Layla's horror a small crack appeared on her barrier.
Lucy gasped when Jacie had impacted, having no idea of Layla's magic abilities.
"Layla! She's a dragon! Your shield can only hold for so long!" Lucy said, holding the elf's shoulders.
"I know! But I need to tell you something!" Layla started. Lucy was silent, at the moment without her book, there was no way she could help Layla so all she could do was listen.
"I'm sorry!" Layla yelled. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you the whole truth, why me and my friends were here! I didn't volunteer to be your maid just so I could use you! I did it because you were so kind to your maid even when she was acting like a bitch! I did it because I think you're fucking hot! That's the truth!" Layla admitted, yelling the entire time.
As she said all of this, Jaycie smashed against the barrier over and over, causing the crack to grow larger with each strike.
"Layla…I-" Lucy began to speak, but was cut off by Jaycie.
"How cute! But why don't you tell her why we were really here, Mistress? Theor sent us for the money!" Jaycie yelled.
"Is that true, Mistress?" Layla asked.
There was a moment of silence, but Lucy sighed.
"Yes, it is," she admitted.
"But you were upset when you thought I was just here for the money?" Layla asked.
"Yes! And I know that's fucked up, but I-"
"But did you have fun with me? Being your maid?" Layla interrupted her.
Layla couldn't see it, but Lucy smiled and then hugged the elf from behind.
"Yes and I want you to keep being my maid!" She said.
"Then I will!" Layla said, with tears in her eyes.
"Not for long!" Jaycie said, slamming against the barrier again, the cracks now moving to spread all across the sphere.
"Fuck!" Layla cursed, trying to hold on for as long as she could. Jaycie cocked her claw back once again, but it never struck the barrier. The furious dragon looked back to see the Barric had caught her by the wrist and she was now surrounded by the King, Hanoe, Sylas, Quinn, and Canglo, with the rest of the guests and maids not far behind them, and Luna pointing her mage rifle her way.
"It's over," Barric said, his grip on her wrist like iron.
"You're right! It is!" Jaycie said with a grin as she took a deep breath.
"Fuck!" The king yelled as he let her go to dodge away from the impending fire breath.
Jaycie spit a jet of flames and spun around as she did to scare off everyone around her. Anyone who didn't shy away from her fire breath because they were immune, in this case Canglo, Hana, and Sylas, were knocked away and sent flying from her tail.
