Alex met Jadon at their usual spot, and they sat down for lunch.
"Bro," Jadon said, "what's up, dude?"
"I had a thing with Susan," Alex replied casually.
"Which Susan? Your secretary?" Jadon asked. "Oh... that fine, naturally endowed girl?" He grinned. "How was it? You've got great taste, man. Damn."
"Stop, stop, stop, man," Alex interrupted. "It meant nothing. I just wasn't myself, and she caused it. You know how she behaves around me."
Jadon nodded. He understood exactly what Alex meant. He knew just how desperate Susan was to get Alex's attention.
"Man," Jadon said, "sometimes I wish I were you. You've got beautiful girls practically throwing themselves at you, and the funny thing is, you're not even interested in them. Damn, man... how do you do it?"
He laughed.
Alex looked at him and laughed as well.
"It just happens, dude. It just happens. Let's eat quickly. I have an appointment to get to before 1 p.m."
The two friends finished their lunch, paid the bill, and went their separate ways.
