Once the Divine Banquet was over, the Champions were divided into groups according to their respective Gods.
We were given twelve hours to rest before the next phase of the Divine Event, and I already expected Catherine to waste at least half that time just to guide us into our rooms. However, the Gods were kind enough to arrange for maids to take us to our rooms.
Maid: "This way, please."
Sadly, Asdrea didn't make any exceptions for Maya and me, and we were forced into pre-assigned rooms according to our arenas, with mine being at the end of the corridor, far away from hers.
Usually, I'd have sneaked out to guard her as soon as I could, but Asdrea gave us his word that no one was to cause harm to the Champions during our rest, and if nothing else, he was at least the type to keep the rules.
Besides, there were some perks to my room being the last in the corridor.
