[3 years Later…] Still in Seoul, 2003
It has been a few years since I was born, and right now I am trying reach a book for reading but stubby hands are making it difficult.
Jacob: Aughhh! Ughhhh! I can't reach the top half of this bookshelf.
After returning home from the hospital, it was weird to say at least. Especially being born and reliving my toddler years. I made to not stick out to much as I don't want to have a child prodigy label just yet.
Also to make sure I don't seem to out of place, I deliberately pretend to learn crawling at 6 months old and walking at 10 months old. Though I'll admit it was a struggle to relearn to walk as my leg muscles are weak. Nevertheless, my parents were in awe and they were pretty proud of me.
Then when I started to fake talking at 13 months old saying "Mama", they went bonkers and my dad said "Say Dada" and I did after the following first supposed word I said.
God, I hope they didn't catch that in camera!
Anyways for the past few years, I have shown my intelligence and learnt to read and write in Korean, and in English.
Though holding back a bit, but regardless my literary skill level is around a 4th grader at least for Korean. As English is my native tongue in my last life, so it was not hard to read my dad's English books.
Mom: Sweetie, do you need help from your Mommy?
Jacob: Yes, I need help Mommy.
Mom: Okie dokie! Let Mommy get your book, Jakie.
My mom grabbed a book from the bookshelf and gave it to me. The book was a basic history book for kids.
Jacob: Thank you Mommy!
Mom: you're welcome sweetie, I sometimes find it shocking how bright you are young man.
Jacob: I like reading!
With that, mom went to grab another book and left the living room. Although I am 3 years old, they do somewhat trust me to be alone. However, they do check on me every hour to see if I am fine or I made a loud noise, therefore they would come. I am currently reading the basic history of Korea, although it has been simplified and sanitized for kids aged 9-12. It was very fascinating!
My dad is currently working as an entry level office clerk, so he's not in this house right now. Speaking of house, we currently live in a 3 bedroom, 4 storey apartment built in the early 90s. We live in the second floor of this building, I have to say my parents purchased this a year before I was born with their parents help of course.
My mom is currently still in college though this later year she's graduating, she's taking a major in fine arts with a minor in music as she's really into music.
So far I'm starting to love this family.
Anyways, I have finished reading the history book and left in the coffee table. At this age, there wasn't much to do as I still a toddler, plus my parents would freak out if I did anything ludicrously bad.
For example, a few months ago, I tried to exercise my body but my mom quickly put a stop to that as they said "my body is still too young for any strenuous activity". Now I can only run around or jump for my physical activities. I do draw or doodle but I only do it when in my bedroom as that where my drawing supplies are.
At certain times, I try to listen to any music I could get my hands on to past boredom, especially if my mom plays the piano.
In this era, Kpop is still at it's infancy, so I'll possibly write down any future songs or releases. Whether it's Kpop or not it doesn't matter as long I find it enjoyable or it was popular.
Although this past year or so, I tried to write a journal of events in this world "Lookism" or any Manhwa in general just to prepare myself for any possible events.
It has been a little bit difficult as my hands are still not strong, so my handwriting is messy.
I don't know what going to go next but I'll once I will find more information about this world I now live in.
Mom: Sweetie, Go to the dining room, Lunch is ready!
Jacob: Coming Mommy!
I Wonder what's for lunch? I hope it's Donkkaseu!
