He walked for what felt like an hour. The valley twisted and turned, Sometimes the cliffs narrowed so much that he had to turn sideways to squeeze through. Other times they opened into wide clearings where the purple plants grew in dense clusters.
The red sky overhead was visible only in strips, the rest blocked by overhanging rock formations that looked like frozen waves.
