"Sir Kinston!!!" The people around us shouted as they saw the speaker.
With a laugh Sir Kinston pats the little girl's head.
"Sir Bennet is one of the most promising talents of our shelter, and with his strong conviction he rose up through the ranks and became a captain at a young age, some say he is as talented as Kaianne." Sir Kinston said as stopped near Dad.
"Wagner!" Sir Kinston said with a smile.
"Its been awhile old man." Dad said as he crossed his arms.
Sir Kinston then gestured us to follow him to which me, Mom and Dad did so.
"So how is Kaianne during the expedition?" Dad asked Sir Kinston as they walked away from the crowd. The man rubbed his beard as he breath out a small laugh.
"Haha! She's swift as always but still reckless. Though I'd say her leadership is developing little by little in a few years she might be able to rival me in tactics and charisma." He said with a bit of a chuckle at the end.
"I see. That's good." Dad smiled after hearing what Sir Kinston said.
"How about you? and your ascension?" Dad asked but Sir Kinston stared at him silently.
For a few seconds they stared at each other.
But then Sir Kinston turned away.
"This body of mine is getting old, and I'm not as strong as when I was in my youth.." He paused.
"I think I'll give up my position in the Blue Phoenix and move to the Wall Defense group."
"I'm thinking of training some newly assign Variants too and also talking to Bennet about him joining the Blue Phoenix."
"Like I said to you back when you asked Kaianne to join. As long as it is what my children wants I won't interfere." Dad said as Sir Kinston stopped.
"And I'll probably give up my crystal." After hearing this Dad's eyes widens as he quickly turned towards Sir Kinston.
"Do you know what that means?!" For the first time in a long time Dad raised his voice.
"I know." Sir Kinston firmly said.
"Dad? What does that giving up his crystal mean?" I softly asked.
"It means he's going to give up his life by giving up his crystal." Dad shook is head and palmed his face
"Crystal? The veins on their back?"
"Yes. Just like how Deformed has crystals on either their forehead or chest, Variants has their Crystals on their spine. By giving up his crystal means he's ready to give up his life in exchange for one person to ascend into the next level. And the most probable person is-"
"Big Brother Bennet." I accidentally said my thoughts out loud.
"Correct." With a sigh he turned his head to Sir Kinston who's face is now serious. "I know you want to help the young generation Kinston but I think this is too much." He tried persuading his friend once more.
"No, Wagner you don't understand. I can feel it, my body is slowly crumbling, in every step I take the kids in the expedition force takes 5 more. I can't keep up with them Wagner, not anymore. That's why I've decided to train the newbies until my body decides to give out and only then will I give my crystal to Bennet." Sir Kinston said with determination in his eyes.
"But Kinston-" Dad's voice stopped as he saw the resolve in Sir Kingston's eyes, talking will not stop his decision.
"I understand. I hope Bennet can live up to the expectation." Dad sighed before speaking. He rubbed his forehead as he lower the R1.
With a gentle smile Sir Kinston pats Dad's shoulder.
"Don't worry old friend I'm not going anywhere yet. I still have some kids to straighten." Sir Kinston said following up with a booming laugh as he pats Dad's back.
After their talk me and my mom followed Sir Kinston towards an Emergency shelter.
Emergency Shelters are used when an attack happens even if the bell has been rung 5 times, people still need to stay inside the shelters for atleast 3 hours this is to be cautious cause another attack might occur after the first ends. the shelters have small windows fit for muskets to be fired from.
You can say that this shelter is a fortress especially made for protecting because of its strong walls.
As we waited for several hours the bell started to ring again which indicates that the battle is over.
"Alright everyone!! Just because the battle is over doesn't mean that we are safe, stay vigilant check the nooks and crannies! We dont know if anything got in. Move into the Shelter as fast as you can." Sir Kinston said to the civilians.
"Militia patrol the streets! Especially the alleyways move in teams of 5!" He ordered the Patrolling Militias.
"Yes Sir!" They move uniformly and patrolled the area. They moved in uniformly swiftly search the area.
"Phew. That was faster than I had anticipated." Sir Kinston said as he walked towards my family.
"It seems like things are done on walls. I hope we can-" His sentence was cut off as the bells a started ringing loudly and repeatingly.
"Another ringing?! That means-" Sir Kinston Immediately shouted orders forr the civilians to go back to the shelter the Militia force who were once patrolling came back to the main streets and started to guide the civiies back to the Shelter.
From the distance they saw a huge Red energy that came from the outside of the wall.
I wasn't able to see anymore as Mom pulled me and the girl that was arguing with Ronnie towards the deeper parts of the shelter. she handed me her weapon as Father closely followed behind us.

"It didn't kill all of them." Kaianne said as she Lowers her sword as the Horde of Deformed rushed towards her and her team.
"Hey Bennet! Use it!" She yelled on the wall as Bennet nodded.
"Get out of there then!"
"Sure!" Kaianne nodded at her team as they climbed up the wall by rope.
The Wall Defence team cover their backs using the combine firepower of the R1s and the Muskets.
Bennet held his hand on his sword as red the aura started to appear on the surface of the blade.
'If my power make me ideal for isolating enemies from each other then Bennet's power is to eliminate a huge amount of enemy in one sweep.' Kaianne thought as she saw Bennet's energy rises as Swords made of red aura filled up the sky.
Bennet raised his sword on the sky as the swords on the air started to hum with power and violence.
Then the swords swarmed down as it flew towards the Horde of Deformeds.
The First Blade took an orange deformed by surprise tried to block it but the swords trembled and then cracked. A huge red explosion engulfed the area around the wall and the Horde. Screeches and screams resounded until it disappeared.
The huge explosion engulfed the Deformed that are surrounding the wall they all burn from the red energy that came from the sword.
With whistle Kaianne looked at the area where the swords fell.
"My goodness." Someone said from her squad.
"Commander what's with your siblings. Dont tell me the youngest is some sort of genius also."
"Heh. Who knows." Kaianne smirked as she heard this.
