Jiang Haoshan hid at the bottom of Mount Kaiyang, watching the path that they took to get home. He had seen his mother go up it only a few hours prior. And if he knew her well enough, he knew she was going to send Kentaro off after him. Which meant his brother would be safe.
He purposely cloaked himself so Kentaro couldn't find him. Once Kentaro made it off the mountain, he would head back up and face his mother. He would take on the storm that was coming their way.
After a couple hours, Kentaro was seen making his way down the mountain. He looked tired from the hike. Haoshan whispered a soft blessing before grabbing his bag, fastening it around his shoulders. He bowed his head and walked out of his hiding spot, making it back up the mountain.
