Ronan Kendrick ignored him. Quincy stroked his chin. His intuition told him it was best not to provoke Evelyn Ford for the next few days.
Evelyn Ford added several more logs next to the vegetable patch. She transplanted the mycelium from the rotting wood onto the new logs. In about a week, the mycelium would start to grow again.
The crocheted gloves for Wendy and Zoe were ready. Evelyn Ford had sewn a layer of cotton cloth inside and filled the lining with fine down.
"They're so warm! And they're pink! They're so pretty! Miss Ford, I love you so much!" Wendy threw herself into Evelyn Ford's arms and held on tight, refusing to let go.
