"You want?" Edward asked.
"I want," Samara breathed a trembling whisper that finally offered the vocal confirmation he demanded.
Before she could draw another breath, Edward moved. His strong arms scooped her easily against his chest. He strode across the deck, shouldering open the door that led to the private cabin chambers deep within the airship.
Samara's face burned a furious, aching crimson, her breath catching in her throat. Every beat of her heart felt like it would burst right through her ribs. This was the man she had craved in silence for so long, a desire she had secretly buried under the fear that it would never, could never, be reciprocated.
Yet here he was. Whatever sudden shift had unlocked this hunger in him, she didn't care to question it. She was entirely at his mercy.
