"The apartment across the hall?" Keith Coleman's smile froze.
'There's another one?!'
"Yes," Melody Monroe nodded.
"Why would you buy so many apartments? This complex looks like it's ten-odd years old, doesn't it?"
"I didn't buy them."
"Then who did? Are they crazy? Buying two at once."
"Watch your words," Melody Monroe gave him a three-word warning.
Keith Coleman got it in an instant.
He immediately clamped his mouth shut.
Even his posture unconsciously became more proper.
Melody Monroe watched his reaction, taken aback for a second.
'That beating he took was really effective.'
"Melody, you don't have to stay here just for me. You haven't been back to Rockwellburg in a while, so go spend some time with Ian. I'm fine."
"Yeah, Melody, I'm here, aren't I? With me around, she'll be fine." Keith couldn't wait for Melody to leave so he and Rose could have the place to themselves.
Melody Monroe was still hesitant.
"I'm really fine," Rose Shaw added.
