Rose Shaw conferred with Melody Monroe, then turned and walked over to Keith Coleman. She took the pre-prepared contract out of her bag, wrote "3,000" in the blank space for the salary, and handed it to him.
"I have to sign a contract?" Keith Coleman took it and glanced over it.
'Rose Shaw is so cautious.' The contract included a few restrictions, like protecting her privacy and so on. It was incredibly thorough.
'He only had one reason for returning to the country, so none of this was an issue.'
With a flourish of his pen, he signed his name.
Rose Shaw pointed a finger at the salary. "Did you see this part?"
Keith actually hadn't looked.
The number three was a bit of a sensitive topic for him, especially when it was the first digit in a number followed by a few zeros.
But when he confirmed it was just three thousand, a sharp pang shot through his heart!
Three thousand!
'Is this what I'm worth now?'
'Seriously?'
