"I can't say for sure what the gas mileage is, but it's definitely not cheap," Winter Kane replied softly.
Melody Monroe thought she should probably return the car to Mr. Fairchild after this trip. There was no need for this extra expense.
She needed to save up for a house.
Sitting in the driver's seat, Winter Kane suddenly noticed a gas card in the car.
He immediately got out and showed the card to Melody Monroe.
"We don't have to worry about gas anymore."
Melody Monroe was speechless.
"Warren is so thoughtful! He even got a gas card ready," Talia Mercer said, nudging Melody Monroe's shoulder.
"Let's just get going, or we'll be late."
Winter Kane hopped back in the car and started the engine.
The entire way, Melody Monroe's mind was a jumble of thoughts, all about Evan Fairchild.
She might have just fallen in love, all on her own.
