As Evan Fairchild turned to wash his hands, Melody Monroe quickly took a step back, taking a quiet deep breath. 'I almost suffocated!'
"What's next for this?" Evan Fairchild asked, pointing to the cut meat.
"I'm going to marinate it and get the other ingredients ready."
"Is there anything else I need to do?"
"Prep the leafy greens, then wash them." Melody Monroe brought the vegetables over.
Evan Fairchild pulled out a stalk. "Like this?"
"No, that's too much. Snap it off here. You're taking off too much; that's wasteful." Melody Monroe took out a stalk and demonstrated.
Evan Fairchild nodded and got to work.
Melody Monroe noticed that the vegetables he had prepped were all the same length. They were laid out one by one, perfectly neat. It was a pleasing sight.
By the time Evan Fairchild finished prepping the vegetables, Melody Monroe had finished marinating the meat.
"Mr. Fairchild, there's nothing else I need help with. You can go outside and sit for a bit."
