Within the temple, the God of Mankind of the Amethyst Race sat with eyes tightly closed; around it, seven powerful figures stood in silence. The recent acts of the Dusk Palace Master, who swept through the God Race, had thrown the self-proclaimed Strongest Tribe, the Amethyst Race, into panic.
Indeed, the Amethyst Race held supreme individual combat power across the Pan-Plane. Yet this advantage wanes as one ascends the realms, much like what happens with Legendary and Mythical Creatures.
At the lower realms, due to enormous differences in talent and other factors among humans, the wizards' combat power ceiling is extremely high, but their floor is equally low. As realms rise, layer upon layer of selection narrows the gap, and the average power of wizards draws ever closer to that of the Amethyst Race.
At Level 1, an Amethyst Race member can easily defeat ten ordinary wizards of the same realm.
But after Level 9, perhaps only two or three.
