Vaguely, Levi could see that the Frost Wolf Seed was suppressed by his Black Snake Seed, like the biological suppression of bloodline instincts, or the dominance of a high-level being over a lower one.
There's suppression between breathing techniques, too.
And the Life Seed born from an excellent-level breathing technique will suppress those from shallow-level ones.
