Grey looked around at the gathering twelve foxes lead by scarlet.
He then glanced at the other six claws members Maria the bee, golo the goblin, Tony the toad, Rex the chicken, and finally the powerhouse of the group cocoa the now undead bear kin.
Grey turned his head behind him "not that I'm not greatful for the help but why are you guys doing coming along."
The four behind him slightly stiffened. Karma, Jade, shin and zinc all turned their heads to face each other in confusion.
Karma spoke up first. "I heard about this whole operation is basically keeping the new queen of foxes from attacking us again by giving them a new home far from us while saving golos home. So I'm coming to help out any way I can to keep our new home safe, plus they will owe us big time."
Grey nodded and turned to shin. "I'm only doing this because miss zinc wants to practice fight since she wasn't much help and she want to be strong like elder oaks because he took good care of her before he died."
Zinc let out a quiet and meek "yeah" from atop shins head but grey heard her loud and clear with his hearing.
Grey smiled slightly at that before turning to Jade "your even more lazy than me so why come along instead of resting?"
Jade looked down awkwardly "well cooked frogsss taste amazing and… you know I just wanna help you after I left you to suffer inside the mountains while I sssslept… it just makes me uncomfortable if I let it happen again."
Grey smiled at the snake warmly. " it fine you already helped me by keeping my siblings safe while I fought, So I'll make sure you have your cooked frogs!"
Golo stood infront of the mirror crystal and turned to face the crowd.
"I have already spoken with everyone before to learn the strengths and form a strategy so listen up this is how we'll go about it."
"Grey will poison their water I want Rex, zinc Jade and scarlet protecting him as his poison will be the key to weakening all of them."
"While they do that you foxes will be with cocoa, shin, karma and me while we cause a ruckus distracting most of their warriors."
Golo turned to the final two. "Tony and Maria you'll be the most important ones here. Tony you'll be using your mirrors to watch over everything and take the wounded out of harms way. Maria you'll be with Tony to heal the wounded and support by binding enemies if you see a opening through the reflections."
"Any questions?"
A light orange fox raised his paw "I get we have firepower and support but they still have more power and the home field advantage. How long do we have to hold out for?"
"Good question we will make a distraction first so they can sneak in and then wait for the poison to affect them sooo hmm about an hour or two you foxes are weaker then us so we'll swap six in between fights to keep yall in peak condition or cover for anyone that's injured so Tony can take them away."
Grey walked up to Maria curiously while golo golo had Tony creat a few mirror crystals and passed them around.
"Hey I thought Tony said you evolved into a wasp? What happened." Grey stared at her still fluffy bee fur.
"It's part of my second rune it lets me cancel out things, I'm calling it zero. I can cancel out parts of my bloodlines temporarily evolving into a wasp queen or giant bee queen while if I inject something with that energy it makes them go crazy as it cancels their energy from within."
Grey looked completely dumbfounded "so like a chimera but none of the problems and more limited?"
"Yeah pretty much I mean it's the only thing worthy of THE great me as it can literally cancel out powers, but since it's brand new I can't fight with YET." She said with an extremely passionate tone.
Grey shrugged "so you look extra motivated for some reason any reason why?"
Maria flew near grey before landing on his head gently. "I mean no disrespect as I'm greatful for the land by the tree and to be able to grow a garden. But the problem is I need sunlight and the mist all around that provides protection for your village also block the sunlight so I need a area close by with water and plenty of sunlight and what better then a land we're reclaiming from frogs."
Grey silent agreed to her claimes as he watched the foxes and others walk into the mirror crystal.
Tony came near them with a wide smile "yeah not just her as a toad I also need moisture which the fog provides but I still like to swim. I think the only ones who will take permanent residence in your village is Rex and cocoa since Ted is like her distant uncle."
"And I don't think golo wants to stay here either since the only other goblin nearby is back at your place I think he'll stay there, but thanks to me we'll always be connected to chat or trade."
Greys eyes lit up "that reminds how do you creat those mirror crystals I wanna do something similar with my sound rune so I can talk to my family when far away."
Tony chucked "it's easy really you just need to compress your element into a semi solid state and fuse it with a medium so it stays solid. For my crystals i use the mucus on my skin as the medium to keep it solid."
"A medium huh?" Went into deep thought for a few seconds before Tony shoved him through the portal as he was the last one.
After Tony jumped through himself everyone was in a huge underground area that let in a little sunlight to illuminate the room and the crystal.
"Woah it's bigger than last time." Grey muttered staring at the massive underground area.
"Well we have more folks than last time so I quickly expanded the area with my earth rune, anyways grey stay here and only head out after I give the signal of a massive explosion." Golo said the last bit with a malicious grin holding a few yellow orbs.
"What are those yellow orbs in your hands?" Scarlet asked as golo gave a few leather pouches full of them to those joining him.
"These are hyper compressed blood balls that when thrown I can command these to explode into an acidic mist."
A few foxes and even karma looked at the blood bombs nervously.
"How did you get so much blood?" Karma questioned.
"It wasn't me grey was testing a new ability and killed a colony of rouge ants and told, so I experimented with their blood since I only have so much and came up with these."
Every stared at grey like he was a monster "ROUGE ANTS!!! You mean the wolf sized ants that can mimic materials density and travel in groups of at least two hundred? Those ants?"
"Well yeah I was testing various poison I came up with on them and a new ability that almost doubled my power."
Everyone except golo just stared. ~sigh~ "look I know it's surprising but we gotta go it noon right now and Tony's abilities are weaker at night so if he's gonna be supporting us we need to leave now."
Golo and his group left so grey turned to his group while Tony watched them through the mirror crystals.
"Ok so how we gonna do this ladies because four isn't exactly a stealthy number?"
Rex and Jade just looked at each other with a tired are you kidding look. Before they both dropped into the shadows.
Jade joined greys shadow and Rex joined scarlets shadow.
"Oh so that how I forget Jade could do that and you never told me about it Rex! So don't look at me like a idiot."
Rex poked her head from scarlets shadow slowly with a deadpan look. "If you cared more about others instead of trying to avoid everyone you'll know more about your friends."
Grey just dropped down "I… I know and I'm sorry I'll try to be more social."
Suddenly the whole underground bunker shook as if a earthquake was happening.
At that moment while everyone only felt the shaking grey quickly coved his ears as a booming explosion reverberated in his ears a few seconds before every one else.
Grey quickly formed a dome of sound around himself to block sounds so the echo wouldn't get him.
Due to greys naturally good hearing boosted by his sound rune almost automatically extremely loud sound caused immense pain in greys head luckily if he was prepared he could block out noises around him.
Grey slow stood up after he felt the ground stop shaking before glaceing at Tony who was staring at a crystal showing golo throwing an entire bag of blood bead and having them all explode at once infront of the frog kin.
Grey slow turned to scarlet head still feel fuzzy. "Can you go fast or blend in?
Scarlet shook her head "my first rune is Luck while I don't have a second rune but my trait is called dash. I can't temporarily boost my speed in one direction for a few meters."
Greys entire body shuddered for a second as he felt a spider climb his back to his shoulder.
He slowly turned his head only to see zinc in a Liquid Metal spray see mech.
Seeing the snail in the spider mech made greys heart calm down immensely.
"Im guessing this spider like armor is a tribute to elder oaks for taking care of you? Do you have any more.
Zinc made he spider mech nod before the metal reformed into a miniature hyena that looked like shin before turning into grey.
Grey smiled warmly at that. "Ok let's go guys, we'll loop around to avoid the fight and sneak into their village near the ravine and reclaim this land for golo and cocoa."
The foxes quickly disappeared running off into the distance as Tony Maria and six the six foxes watched the mirror crystals observing everything around them.
