Rejoicing erupted all over Earth.
People flooded the streets, hugging strangers, crying, laughing, and screaming in pure joy. Families embraced tightly. Children ran around waving makeshift flags with Father Black's face on them. In every city, every village, every home, the celebration was wild and unstoppable.
The Lenny family had done it.
They had tricked the angels.
They had won the battle against Heaven itself.
It was unprecedented.
Meanwhile, in space, sitting on his throne atop the dead sun, Lucifer raised his hands and clapped.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
A broad, genuine smile stretched across his face.
He leaned back, still clapping slowly, clearly entertained.
"I must admit," he said with a low chuckle, "the cunning of human beings never fails to amuse me. You monkeys really outdid yourselves this time."
Father Black waved a dismissive hand.
