She could feel comfortable in his presence as she felt his gentleness in the way he was holding her. After an hour, they reached half the way to the castle.Merry was exhausted by travelling from the morning.
As Merry's eyes could not keep up and she started to nod.Just then, Max saw her head tilted a little and realised she had fallen asleep. He slowed down the speed to let her rest a little.
"She must have been quite overwhelmed by all that happened." Max murmured to himself.He suddenly took off his cloak and placed it to cover her as the weather grew more cold.He gently placed his one hand to hold her by her waist and then started to continue moving slow speed. Also instructed his knights to decree their speed a little.They started moving along into the forest.
"Princess! Princess! We are home... ." Max tried to wake her up.She winked her eyes and saw Max.She felt embarrassed, wondering when did she fall asleep.He took her off from the horse and suddenly they saw her father coming worriedly.
" My child !Are you alright? " King Masin asked Merry .Max could see how worried his master was.
"Y-Yes Papa...S-Sir Maximillian reached on time."She answered with reassurance in her voice as she could see her father's eyes being all red which showed he had cried. King Masin put his hand on Max's shoulder and smiled.He was the one who saved his world and it was true since Merry was the only one he had in his life.His only family.Masin asked the maids to take Merry to her room and let her rest.
"Thanks a lot, Max ."King Masin showed his gratitude.Max bowed his head in respect and felt relaxed to see his teacher's worries fade away.
"Its my pleasure Master that I could help." Max replied
"Please allow me Master Masin, I better go now."
"Would you like to have dinner with us, it won't take long."King Masin asked
"Forgive me , but I have to return to my place as there are things that I have to take care of." Max replied.
" Is it again Northern Hazrat ?"King Masin enquired.
"This time it's their friends." Max replied with a smirk.
"If things still not sort out soon let me know I will try from my side."King Masin stated.
"Ofcourse, Master."Max replied and bowed his head in respect to take his leave now and ordered his to get ready to return.They headed back to his kingdom which will take a day to reach .
On their way back Max felt different and his mind clouded with Merry's face and voice .All of a sudden his gorgeous face got a smile.
'I can't believe myself. How is she getting in my head...Am I getting... I never felt this way in my life, . Nothing has changed..her eyes, her hair, her lips...what the hell am I thinking. I must have lost my mind.'He got flustered as thought of her.
On the other hand ,Merry was settled on her bed and was about to read a book she had been reading for a week now..
" The new beginning " She read out loud the name on the book's cover and when she was about to read she was reminded of his dark eyes that were so captivating.She never saw such eyes, the eyes which appeared dangerous yet held so much calmness.
"Am I going to marry that man? Is it going to be the new beginning of my life too?." She thought to herself.
