In a segregated area in the mountains lies a group of tached houses not far from a flowing stream.
This settlement was called home by a group of orphans. This group of children was 6 in number and was in all shapes, sizes, and age groups. They were taken care of by a woman the children commonly(and lovingly) called Nana.
Nana is a beautiful-looking elderly woman with a beautiful face, luscious hair, and a healing smile. She used to live with her husband in a neighboring town: that was before he died. Following her recovery from depression, she started to care for homeless children. Over time what started on a whim to help her from overthinking became her sole reason for living. She loved the children with the whole of her heart and took care of them.
One such was Nyūsen: who she had adopted when he was some months old.
"Niko! Kids? Come get your food" The children came running in. "Good morning nana!" the children greeted before settling down for breakfast. Just then Nyūsen walks in, well that's an understatement more like he stormed in.
"I'm here, where's my Onigiri".
His scream made the other kids burst into laughter.
"Nyūsen, you really should learn to take things easy you know," a young girl said amidst a laugh.
Nyūsen turns to the girl who spoke: she was a young girl of 6 years, with ocean blue eyes, straight blue hair, and a face that seemed to have been crafted by God with all of his attention.
"Yeah right! So you can eat my share again today, Naa no way",
" That's okay two of you, do you want Nana to be mad at us".
Ao who was the eldest of the kids spoke up while trying to hold his laughter in, as he remembered how Niko did eat Nyūsen's share of onigiri some time ago, he(Nyūsen) behaved as if he would die the next min; 'Now that was something I would like to see again'.
The children all settled down to eat, there were about 6 kids altogether; they each saw one another as siblings, and Nana was their parent. The other kids' names were Ren, Yui, and Sakura. Ao is the eldest as he was 7 years and Sakura is the youngest being 3 years, which is a year younger than Nyūsen. With smiles on their faces and excitement in their hearts, they got down to eating.
"Nana?",
"Yes dear"
"I will be going down the mountain into the town to the blacksmith workshop".
Nana with a confused look on her face looked at Nyusen who just spoke.
" And why do you want to go there", 'Ah I can only hope she accepts', " It's simple, elder brother already started working at the mines, and even Niko has something she's doing: so I thought..." " You thought you should learn how to blacksmith?", Nana stated while looking straight into Nyūsesn's eye, this unnerved the little rascal as he felt he couldn't hide anything from his mother. " Mother, you are right, I really wanna do this" he then goes on his knees and kowtowed " nana, I can see how much you care for us and love us but I can also see the strain on you. Nana, I want to help you, I want to be there for you, but for me to do that I have to have something doing. Please, mama!" After laying all of his heart on the table he looked up at his mother only to see her smiling. " Of course son". Seeing her happy Nyūsen smiles, a smile that could blind the heavens filled with love and nature( A.N. okay that might be a bit of an exaggeration). He rushes to her and hugs her which Nana returns in kind, she then motioned to the others to come to join them. Ao and his siblings stood and join in on the hug.
Seconds turned to minutes and minutes to more minutes as they stood there basking in the happiness they had created for themselves.
