Chapter 5 - Blake The Persona

As time passes, many things change and others remain the same, for Blake, these past ten years changed a lot of things around him, yet he still remained the same, almost. He developped a more patient attitude and now hold a better grasp of his emotions than before. Blake also gained many benefits from his secondary quests.

The most prominent ones were , , and . During the first years of the main quest, as Blake kept doing the missions over and over again, he developped skills related to the quests. Those were respectively the skills , and . He once asked what were the numbers next to the skills and the system replied with:

[They represent the level of mastery of the skills]

[Once the numbers reach the threshold, Host will have the possibility to evolve skills]

[However, Host can only evolve his current skills once he transmigrates]

And since then, with infinite motivation, Blake decided to go out more often to develop these skills while thinking about what could their potential evolution look like.

Present time

Blake could be seen coming out of a gym, drenched in sweat and with slighty shaking arms. With a black tank top emphasizing his bulging muscles and toned chest, he walked towards his apartment. As he moved, a few envious gaze landed on his body. Some were envious while others looked at Blake like one would look at a juicy piece of steak.

As if knowing this fact, a smiling Blake involuntarily sped up. However he was soon stopped by someone whom he knew too well.

"Hey Blake, wait a moment." A petite woman came out of the gym while looking at Blake the same way some female passerbys looked at him. She had blond hair tied in a ponytail, blue lake like eyes and a slender, curvaceous figure emphasizing her generous breasts. She approached Blake seductively and said in a not so tantalizing manner.

"My birthday is coming in two days, and I thought about inviting you. There will be a lot of fun. And as a gift, we could go somewhere and do some... exercices together. What do you think?" Asked the shameless woman as she drew circles on Blake's chest wiith her finger.

"Sorry Jessica, but you know how busy I am with my job. And in two days, I'll have a very busy schedule with some clients. Maybe another time?" Shamelessly answered blake in return as he slightly stepped back.

"Come on, you said you were some kind of entrepreneur right? Can't you just cancel your schedule and come to my party?" Jessica said pouting or at least trying to as Blake could see the small details revealing her dishonesty.

With a slight smile on his face, Blake could only think about punching the woman before her and going back to his business, but thanks to his skills so hardly practised, nothing suspicious could be seen on his jovial face.

"Haha, sorry about that but that's not how it works." Feigning being distracted, he looked at his watch and said with a "genuine" surprise.

"Look at the time, I have to hurry home and feed my cat, you can't imagine how grumpy it can be just because it missed a meal, haha." The happy looking Blake said before he slowly retreated from the woman trying to make a cute face.

"It's been great talking to you, and again sorry that I can't come to your birthday. See you later." Blake said hastily as he walked with a speed that was neither fast nor slow, letting a bemused woman far behind him.

As he quickly entered his apartment, his previous demeanor of a respectable individual shattered in million pieces as an expression of irritation and disgust replaced it.

"Ah that plastic bimbo is still at it, acting like a slut. If not for the gym being near my apartment, I would have long bitchslapped her stupid looking face and burned down that stupid gym membership!"

Blake released his pent up emotions as he remembered the first time he went to exercice into a gym. At first, everything was great; He built the persona of a jovial man, with a hobby of training his body, and gave him a cheery attitude to socialize better amongst people. He then found the nearest gym and went there from time so as to better train his skills.

However not long after he joined the gym, he heard a nasty rumour about the daughter's owner. A creature with a superficial personality and a body full of plastic. She even had a hobby of lurking in the gyms and lustfully looking at the opposite sex during their workout.

Blake felt more and more revulsed as she heard about her feats; asking most men whom she found attractive to have sex with her, even though he heard that she already had a boyfriend. Even the oldest people were not spared. As long as you looked a little good looking, she would likely try to take a bite out of you. They even said that her physique was altered so much because of plastic surgery that she now looked completely different from her original appearance.

As for Blake, he was also asked to "exercice" with her, but as someone with dignity and a newfound revulsion towards someone, he declined many times over. But the woman never gave up on her chase. Fortunately, the owner was understanding of the situation and even though she deeply loved her daughter, she had to scold her many times over because this kind of behaviour was very bad for his business.

Therefore, instead of constantly harrassing his father's clients, she would usually send a few "hints", making many people squint their eyes at her.

As Blake leaved the bathromm, he asked, "System, profile please". And before his eyes rows of words and numbers appeared, revealing the labor of the past 11 years.
