Astra PoV
That night Kalia told me all about the deal she had struck with the Madame, leaving a few details out - ones that I could still figure out rather easily when I saw her expression or just read between the lines - but making sure to tell me that I needed to meet with the older Elf sometime the next day.
She - as well as myself - was under the assumption that this meeting would likely become watered down to a flurry of sweaty, entangled limbs in her bed as we struck an agreement on what I could and couldn't do in that room of hers, and more than likely she was going to want something extra from me besides some sex.
Even more business, perhaps, or at least a promise that I would look for anything special inside of the Auction House first before searching elsewhere; it could also be as simple as trying to leave a few honeyed words here or there with Renna and Leonisa, which could influence her revenue rather drastically.
I wouldn't know until I got there the next morning, but I had a feeling I was going to enjoy this meeting as much as Kalia had, since my pink haired daughter was glowing and singing this woman's praises a bit more than she had almost anyone else.
On the homefront I continued to improve our foundation as best as I could, namely starting with some actual paths that linked everything together before moving onto other more permanent fixtures that were quick and easy to implement.
Lighting was the main one that I wanted to finish as soon as possible, because with as much land as we had now ensuring that it was lit would be a monumental task normally, but for me it just took a little bit of time and thinking about designs.
I went with ornamental stone lanterns that would give the somewhat bored Annie, Camara and Cici something to work on, and it would also be a test for them to expand their skillset with carving stone as well as wood.
So really I was just setting up these rectangular stone pillars across the compound that had these bright enchanted gemstones resting inside that illuminated a lot of the surrounding area; that small hollowed out area was easy for me to do en masse, and it left some peculiar pieces of stone for them to work with.
Seeing them go from bored and just relaxing on the grass with most of the babies to instead studying these pillars and murmuring to each other made me happy, though it also reminded me that I needed to try and help everyone have something to do lest they just sort of wither away here.
Annie and Cici should have had their own business to handle or whatever, but apparently they were able to just sort of uproot themselves from their prior lives and move over here without any issue, so that meant they weren't currently doing much else...
Well, besides being pregnant and having an abundance of sex practically everywhere, which was about par for the course here with this family...
Anyways, figuring out the spacing for the lanterns had taken far more time than I had expected, but for an evening project that wasn't that bad since it led right into dinner, allowing me to unwind slowly as I savored the meal that Heila prepared for everyone.
And although I wanted to get back to work and do something else for the compound, there were four new babies that had popped out of me and two more that I had put inside Renna that were deserving of attention and affection.
Separating them into two sets of three kept things controlled and less chaotic than normal, but no matter what I did Thalia was still a little hellion that tormented poor Kaliope and Vesper to no end, while Astaria, Sienna and Bashuk were far more tame and definitely nowhere near as chaotic as Thalia.
All we really did to separate them though was erect a soft wall of pillows down the middle of the nursery, which allowed us to sit back to back with one another as we watched over our group of three carefully... and it proved to be quite an entertaining decision that I had made.
I had my three little fluffballs crawling around in front of me, with Thalia constantly chasing after and trying her hardest to force her two sisters to submit to her, and yet the red pup wasn't able to get either of them to submit since they had the power of teamwork...
More so Vesper was just really good at getting around Thalia since Kaliope was her main focus, and the moment that black furred pup felt like she could strike, she did so while Thalia wasn't looking before scurrying away, only to repeat it a moment later since Thalia was constantly moving around.
Seeing them battle one another was rather amusing, honestly, but a few times I had to step in and reprimand one of them for trying to either smack, 'punch', bite or even sit on one another, which I thought was just too dangerous for them right now.
On the other side Sienna was draped over one of the comfy pillow chairs dozing off while Bashuk stared at Renna curiously, her eyes never leaving the Nymph's face even when Astaria poked her cheek or babbled something at her.
It was a nice long moment of peace that stretched for quite a long time as we just sat there, observing, enjoying and eventually feeding these six little rascals until they just flopped down and made it clear sleep was what they wanted.
And even then all I did was gather them all up and put them all atop a large array of pillows that laid on as well, letting them crawl onto me if they pleased or just cuddle up against me as we fell asleep together in a giant pile, something that Renna 'complained' about a few times before she crawled Astaria and Sienna to her chest and rested her head against my shoulder, drifting off rather quickly.
