[Chapter Size: 2500 Words.]
Rōran, 43.
...
...
A fourth person appeared in Naruto's inner space, drawing the attention of almost everyone.
Tsuna simply showed up there. "Well, Minato said he needed my help, so here I am," she said, observing the two foxes.
'This is quite the meeting...' Tsuna murmured to herself before turning her attention directly to Minato and Kushina, who were talking to Naruto.
"I don't think you'll be able to create an entire forest here, but at least let's make an open environment, with sunlight. Leave the trees, rivers, and lakes to Tsuna," Kushina whispered beside Naruto.
Naruto simply nodded to her as he tried to create the landscape his 'mother' asked for.
He closed his eyes and concentrated, bringing his palms together, trying to focus on the image of a sunny day. Kushina helped him, forming a few seals before placing her hand on his back.
Naruto began to visualize, while Minato, Tsuna, and the two Kuramas simply watched. The place began to change: the darkness and the sewer gears started to distort, breaking apart, as lights began to appear.
Naruto didn't have the ability to change all of that on his own, but Kushina was directly manipulating the seal. With her skill and knowledge in sealing techniques, she managed to alter the space created by the other Minato and the Shinigami. Naruto could even try to expand his mental strength, but he still didn't have the capacity for that, so Kushina interfered directly with the seal, using Naruto's permission and imagination with the approval of the host himself, who was obviously Naruto.
Soon, a warmth almost as real as the sun's emerged for everyone. A vast, endless blue sky, with no visible horizon, appeared above them. Grass, stones, and even some trees began to emerge in that space.
Naruto's Kurama, who had been indifferent to all of it, looked around, unable to hide the astonishment in her eyes as she observed the place.
'The brat actually did it...' the fox muttered internally, with conflicting feelings.
Minato simply let out a soft sigh upon seeing that. He hoped that, at least this way, Kurama wouldn't try to kill Naruto every time she had the chance. In the future, at least, until he could make peace with her.
"Well, it's quite pleasant now, dattebane!" Kushina said.
Naruto, bathed in light, couldn't help but look around in surprise.
"Incredible..." he murmured, looking at the new place.
"Now, it's your turn, Tsuna," Kushina said to the blonde, who nodded as she began forming several hand seals, stepping forward.
"Wood Style: Great Forest Technique!"
The moment she announced her jutsu, the entire ground began to tremble.
Naruto widened his eyes, worried. Suddenly, roots began to emerge from all sides.
Both Kuramas themselves couldn't help but assume a solemn expression at the sight. As they watched those roots forming everywhere, rising from the ground, they couldn't help but remember when they had been dominated like mere animals by that man who used the same nature style.
This man was none other than the First Hokage—someone both of them had shared the same battle with in the past, when Madara simply captured them and controlled them through those red Sharingan eyes and entered into conflict with Hashirama shortly after.
And, in the end, they were humiliated by a giant wooden monster, which grabbed them with just one hand before defeating them and then sealing them inside the body of that Mito Uzumaki, before they went to Kushina.
Now there was another blonde girl who seemed extremely proficient with this power. Kushina's Kurama already knew this, but Naruto's Kurama couldn't help but look with wide and cautious eyes.
There were so many powerful people in this world... how could her version in this world deal with so many people who could beat her down?! No wonder her counterpart in this world surrendered to a jinchūriki, right?
Meanwhile, Naruto watched the trees being formed. There were all kinds, emerging from all sides—at least a thousand trees. His eyes widened as he looked at the blonde, as if he were seeing a smaller version of Oba-chan herself, but younger. And clearly more powerful.
"You've got to be kidding me! Not even Yamato can do something like this, dattebayo!" Naruto exclaimed.
Yamato could build a house, create a few trees... but create an entire forest out of nothing?
She had tried to hit him before, calling him weak and disappointing. Now Naruto understood why. That girl had to be even more powerful than everyone he knew, except for what he had seen his 'father' do!
"She is the great-granddaughter of the First Hokage," Kushina's Kurama replied, noticing the suspicious look from Naruto's Kurama behind the bars.
Naruto's Kurama raised an eyebrow.
"Well, she had to have some connection to that man. It seems this element keeps getting stronger..." she commented and looked at Naruto.
"Very different from that weak captain who walks with you, this girl is a true user of the wood element..." Naruto's Kurama didn't hold back her mockery, referring to Yamato. That man was always ready to suppress her power with the intention of corrupting Naruto.
"..." Naruto was speechless.
In the end, the entire place was ready. There were bursts of water after the trees, trenches being created as the water flowed, since Tsuna used earth and water elements to further shape the place and transform it into a valley.
She wasn't doing this for Naruto's Kurama, only because Minato and Kushina wanted to; for her, there was no problem, aside from wanting to help the future son of her husband and sister-in-law.
Now, in that place, there was a vast forest, sunlight, lakes, and rivers. Kushina also took the opportunity to expand the space inside the cage, allowing Kurama to run and have fun and enjoy a valley with a large pond shaped by Tsuna as a finishing touch.
Naruto's Kurama might not admit it, but Kushina had already observed Naruto's fox, and deep down, she knew that Kurama was dying to be alone in that place and enjoy it.
She had caught her own Kurama several times inside herself, secretly running through the mental space of her forest, sometimes even rolling like a cat among the trees to scratch herself, and playing with some animals.
That mass of destruction wasn't as evil as everyone imagined. She just didn't like showing that side and kept it hidden from everyone.
Kushina found it cute, but she never dared to talk about it, knowing that Kurama would become very irritated and embarrassed if she found out that she did that alone.
And for Kushina, Naruto's Kurama wouldn't be much different. She was just consumed by the hatred of being locked up for decades. In the end, she could also become Naruto's partner.
Kushina hoped that her son from another world could find a way to understand his bijuu, just as she did—even without having Minato by his side to help him as he had helped her back then.
And, although she knew they didn't have much time, she would at least try to improve Kurama's life, so she wouldn't be so consumed by hatred.
"Very good," Minato nodded.
Kushina finished her seals and went to his side.
"So, did you like the new scenery?" Kushina's Kurama couldn't help but tease, with a malicious tone.
Naruto's Kurama, who was still observing the place, turned her attention to her larger version.
"Can't you shut up?" she replied immediately.
"Well, it's better for us to leave. I'm sure she won't be able to enjoy this place while keeping up that act of pretending she didn't like it," Kushina's Kurama commented.
"Shut up! I don't need your comments!" Naruto's Kurama replied, clearly irritated hearing that sarcastic tone.
Kushina couldn't help but look at her own Kurama. 'You really don't give her a break, do you??' she thought.
Kushina's Kurama seemed to act exactly as the two Kuramas usually did with Shukaku, mocking him all the time. Kushina's Kurama was clearly enjoying herself, having a better position than that sealed Kurama in front of her.
"Let's leave. We still have a lot to do," Minato suddenly said.
Even if they erased Naruto's memories, he would still find that place pleasant every time he entered his mental space.
Thus, one by one, they began to disappear, leaving only Kurama, who remained alone.
She couldn't help but look around, observing the valley built for her.
'Well... since they made a place like this, there's no harm in enjoying it...' she muttered internally, as she moved forward among the trees.
After almost sixty years trapped in seals, this was different. The trees weren't artificial. The sun might be a creation, but the trees and the water were real. She could feel the smell, the touch, the environment.
There was even a lake.
She stepped into the water and took the opportunity to bathe.
Naruto blinked. Everyone in that room was waiting for them. He still had his fist pressed against Kushina's, while Minato and Tsuna had their arms extended over each side of Kushina's shoulders, connected to him.
Gradually, everyone pulled their arms back.
"Looks like it's over," Minato said with a satisfied smile.
"Naruto, what happened?" Yamato approached, cautiously glancing to the side, as if expecting an attack at any moment from Tsuna, in case he let his guard down around that blonde who claimed to be his master—something Yamato clearly didn't remember.
Even so, he was worried about Naruto.
Naruto was a bit unsure of what to say. "Well... it's hard to explain, Captain Yamato... I don't even know where to start," he said, a little embarrassed after everything that had happened.
"We changed Kurama's space inside him. We created a more pleasant place, both for him and for the fox... and we also freed her from the prison." Minato replied, and those words left Yamato surprised.
Naruto confirmed everything with a nod.
"Well, enough melancholy. We still have a mission here. Currently, this country is being targeted by an infiltrated agent who also came from the future." Minato spoke again.
"What?!" the queen exclaimed. "What do you mean, from the future? The one you say is from the future is Anrokuzan, right?! He is trying to take over the country, but he has been my most trusted advisor for years."
Minato sighed and pointed at Naruto and Yamato.
"These two came to the past precisely because of a ninja named Mukade. At the same time, he has the same identity as your advisor, Anrokuzan, he just changed his name. The problem is that he didn't come along with these two, he was lucky enough to arrive here a few years earlier." Minato explained.
Both the queen and Naruto and Yamato were surprised by this information.
"And since he arrived a few years earlier... that gave him the freedom to start his plans. As you can see, he wants to take over your country," Minato added.
"Why is he doing this?" the queen asked. Now, she seemed irritated. There was no more room for melancholy or temporal surprises—it was time to focus on saving the country.
"There are countless reasons. Maybe we can extract that directly from him, but one of them is clear: greed. A man seeking power. He seems to have understood, in the future, the value of the chakra vein that exists beneath Rōran. He wants to use it as a weapon somehow."
"That's why he needed to eliminate you, Your Majesty, and put a puppet in your place. After that, he would get rid of the princess, try to take power, and would have total control over Rōran.
"The people, with no one to confront the version of the tragic death of the queen and the princess, would end up believing him... or he would simply replace everything. He would take over the country easily and would have total control through chakra, being able to do whatever he wanted..." Minato paused.
"Well, there's not much to say about his plans, but we're here to put an end to it, right? And whatever he saw in your world is not the same as here. Still, I would like to get some answers about the future, but unfortunately, he didn't live in the future of our world, so it's practically useless for us..." Minato said. He wouldn't waste the same opportunity that the other Minato Namikaze from Naruto's original world had; he would try to learn from the future with Mukade, but now it was useless, coming from a different world.
"So, Lord Minato... can you help me?" the queen asked, looking directly at him. With a gaze full of hope and something more...
For a moment, the atmosphere changed completely.
Everyone felt a sudden pressure—as if the air had become heavy. Two intense presences of chakra were released.
Princess Sara was startled. Naruto hid behind Yamato, who stepped back toward the wall, swallowing hard.
"Fourth... please, control your wife..." Yamato thought, nervously.
Even the children of Team Seven seemed to tremble.
Sara looked at her mother, who remained completely calm, as if nothing was happening. Her eyes were fixed on Minato, not letting herself be affected by the pressure in the environment.
She was the one causing this! There was something more in that look of hers.
The man in front of her, to her, seemed like a knight on a white horse. It had been a long time since she felt her heart race like that.
"She's really looking at our husband with a lovestruck gaze..." Tsuna said, grinding her teeth, as a green chakra emanated from her body like an intense aura.
At the same time, Kushina's blue chakra also responded with the same intensity, her red hair beginning to move as if it had a life of its own.
Just that fraction of irritation from the two powerhouses was already enough to make any ninja—even elite jōnin—start sweating cold.
Yamato was exactly like that, and Naruto trembled behind him.
Sara was the most affected for being an ordinary person there. Even so, her mother seemed completely immune to that pressure.
"Mom... there's a very strange atmosphere here... You should behave!" Sara murmured, nervously.
Naruto couldn't help but think: how did that man from that world manage to marry two women like that? And there were still two more wives of his—what kind of home would it be with all those women together?! They clearly didn't like sharing their husband; could his supposed father's house be a battlefield?!
Minato broke into a slight cold sweat, but not because of the pressure—but because it seemed like his wives wanted to kill the queen of Rōran.
How could he let that happen? He needed to save that country, not help destroy it.
"Of course. I already said we're going to save this place," he replied, trying to calm the situation.
It was time to act and stop stalling.
