~~Malfoy Manor~~
Harry stared at his sleeping girlfriend before casting a Spell on her… The Spell was to simply make sure that she wouldn't get up while he was away. He didn't like doing that to Tonks, but he didn't want her getting up and making a fuss. He might have agreed to relax and take a break, but there were still some loose ends he needed to tie as soon as possible.
After taking a quick shower, he got dressed and placed a cover on Tonks. The woman smiled and snuggled into the blanket, starting to feel more comfortable than before. Harry placed a soft kiss on her temple before leaving his room…
After that, he made his way straight to Narcissa's room and found her still awake, which was not that surprising, considering they were supposed to carry out their plan tonight. Andi was also there, again not surprising as she must be there to comfort her sister or something like that. "You took your time" Narcissa pointed out with a huff, looking somewhat unhappy.
"I had to make sure Tonks was asleep" Harry answered simply.
"Why? Is your little girlfriend too much for you to handle?" Narcissa asked while giving him a knowing look, but Harry simply rolled his eyes at her words, instead of taking the bait.
"Is that jealousy I hear?" Harry asked, deciding to turn the tables on her while feeling somewhat vindictive as he knew that the woman was desperate to scratch her itch.
"Ugh!!" Andi groaned while rubbing her temples before her sister could answer. "Can you two please not talk about what my daughter gets up to? And I don't want to know how hard my sister wants it, especially when I have heard it hundreds of times" Andi growled in exasperation, feeling annoyed at both Harry and her sister.
"Looks like someone is quite backed up" Narcissa pointed out off-handedly, earning a dirty look from her sister.
"Yes, I think you might be right. You might be onto something here" Harry also agreed with a grin on his face, making Andi look at Harry and her sister before she buried her face in her hands, feeling annoyed and frustrated at the duo.
"...Can we get this over with? It is already quite late" Andi pointed out, deciding to change the topic and thankfully, both Narcissa and Harry agreed with her. Narcissa had been waiting patiently for so long, but even she was starting to lose her patience now and Andi simply wanted to get this over with, so that she could join her husband in the bed.
After all, not all of them were fortunate enough to sleep in…
"Alright" Harry agreed and Narcissa immediately stood up before leading the duo to the adjacent room where her son was sound asleep. Narcissa had fed him the Draught of Sleeping Death without telling him to make the process as seamless as possible. After all, in his current state, even dreams would not come to him.
"Narcissa, for the final time, are you sure about this?" Harry asked as he stood by the bed, but before Narcissa could give him an answer, he raised his hand to stop her. "Remember, doing this would mean basically killing him. He would no longer be Draco Malfoy. He would no longer be your son. He would be just a baby trapped in the body of a teenager" Harry paused.
He wanted to give her some time to think as it was still not late, at least not yet…
"However, unlike other babies, he is going to be a teenager. Even though he is going to be a baby mentally, his brain is going to be a completely different matter. Children could learn things easily as their brains are designed to do that, but his brain is already somewhat matured… So, I ask you again, are you sure about this?" Harry asked as he finished everything he wanted to say.
Harry was glad that instead of giving him an instantaneous answer, Narcissa seemed to be contemplating if she really wanted to move forward with this plan or not…
Andi opened her mouth to say something, but once again, Harry raised his hand to stop her. "This is her choice, she needs to make this choice on her own" Harry revealed his opinion on the matter and even though reluctant, Andi could see where he was coming from and agreed with his point of view.
Meanwhile, Narcissa felt somewhat sour, most of her was grateful that Harry decided to leave this decision to her, as if she later came to regret her choice then she didn't want to blame anyone else other than herself. She had somehow managed to rekindle her relationship with her sister after almost two decades and she didn't want to ruin it again.
A couple of minutes passed away as Narcissa continued to think, but a look of determination finally appeared on her face…
"Yes, I am sure. Do it" Narcissa said, looking as determined as she ever could.
"Okay" Harry simply agreed and placed his hand over Draco's head. His hand flashed white for a few seconds before the glow finally disappeared. After that, he finally took his hand from the boy's head. "It is done. You can give him the antidote, but don't expect him to wake up anytime soon as his brain and body needs to get used to the lack of memory" Harry explained.
"Still, how long is it going to take for him to wake up?" Narcissa asked worriedly as she rushed toward her son, who was lying in the bed, looking completely peaceful.
"I can't for sure, but a few hours should do it" Harry answered after thinking for a bit. He had never done this before, but he knew exactly how the Spell worked and how it could affect a mind. A partial Obliviation could have left lingering, but now that he had wiped the slate clean, there were not going to be any problems caused by the gaps in his memories.
"Now that your son is taken care of, shall we move to the other loose end?" Harry asked, earning a grin and nod from Narcissa, who was looking way too excited for what was coming next…
