Ice and Fire Ying Yang Well,
Following their arrival in Dugu Bo's territory, Lev told Tsunade and Zhu Zhuqing to familiarize themselves with the place while warning them to stay away from the dangerous plants scattered throughout the area.
He had something important to discuss with Dugu Bo.
"Dugu Bo, as you can see, both the Spirit Hall and the Heaven Dou Empire will probably come looking for me. What are you planning to do now?" Lev asked seriously as he looked at him.
Although Lev didn't know exactly how deeply Dugu Bo had committed himself to the Heaven Dou Empire, he was aware of the old man's connection with the empire. Depending on how loyal Dugu Bo truly was, things could become complicated.
"Y-Young Master, if I may ask... Do you still have the medicine that was used to cure the Emperor?"
Instead of answering Lev's question, Dugu Bo asked another one. His eyes were filled with anticipation.
He was still hoping that Lev had some of the miraculous medicine left.
It was his last hope.
"Yes, I still have some."
Lev smiled.
He already knew where this conversation was heading. That was precisely why he had purchased three bottles of Angel's Tears in the first place.
With a thought, he summoned one of the vials and held it out for Dugu Bo to see.
"Young Master..."
Dugu Bo's eyes widened the moment he saw the familiar vial.
"Truth be told, I only have one relative left in this world. Her name is Dugu Yan, my only granddaughter."
His voice became solemn.
"The reason my clan fell into this state is because of the poison within my body. It has been passed down through my bloodline and has continued to torment my descendants."
Dugu Bo clenched his fists before looking at Lev with determination.
"I beg you, Young Master, please help her. In return, you can ask anything of me. I will do whatever you want."
The moment he saw the vial, excitement surged through Dugu Bo's heart.
He didn't know for certain whether it could cure Dugu Yan's condition, but as long as there was even the slightest possibility, he was willing to do anything to obtain it.
"Even if I told you to betray the Heaven Dou Empire?" Lev asked calmly.
"Yes, Young Master."
Dugu Bo answered without hesitation.
He had already considered this possibility.
There was nothing more important to him than Dugu Yan. Watching his granddaughter grow up and live a long life was the greatest wish he had left.
If betraying the empire was the price for saving her, then he was prepared to pay it.
"Good."
Lev nodded.
"We're planning to stay here for a while. In the meantime, you should go and bring your granddaughter here."
He deliberately didn't tell Dugu Bo that he had already met Dugu Yan back at the Great Spirit Arena.
There was no need to explain it yet.
Hearing Lev's words, Dugu Bo's eyes widened with happiness.
"Thank you, Young Master!"
He immediately bowed before turning around.
"I'll bring Yan Yan here as quickly as possible!"
With that, Dugu Bo hurriedly left.
In truth, he had already decided to do this yesterday after learning about the situation developing across the continent. However, now that Lev had given him permission, he no longer had any reason to hesitate.
Watching Dugu Bo disappear into the distance, Lev smiled faintly.
He then turned around and began walking through the medicinal garden in search of Zhu Zhuqing and Tsunade.
Although this place was quite suitable for hiding, Lev had no intention of staying here permanently.
It was merely a temporary refuge.
Soon, he would leave this place and continue his journey.
After all, he still needed to become stronger.
**********
—Noon—
After having lunch together, Lev, Zhu Zhuqing, and Tsunade finally had some time to themselves.
Since they had nothing planned for the rest of the day, boredom soon crept in. In the end, the three simply decided to take it easy, lying on the grass while gazing at the clear sky above them.
"Zhuqing, are you curious about which family I really came from?" Lev suddenly asked.
After experiencing this moment of peace, he couldn't help but feel a strong longing for the people he had left behind on Earth—Lilith, Mia, Kim, and the others.
Zhu Zhuqing turned her head toward him, slightly surprised by the sudden question.
She had been curious about Lev's origins before. However, after falling in love with him and choosing to follow him, she no longer cared about what kind of family he came from.
As long as she could stay by his side, that was all that mattered to her.
"Well... I was a little curious before," Zhu Zhuqing admitted.
"Then let me tell you."
Lev took a moment before continuing.
"I actually came from another world. A world completely different from this one."
He waited for Zhu Zhuqing's reaction.
To his surprise, she remained silent.
Seeing this, Lev continued.
"To put it simply, there are countless worlds out there, and this world is merely one of them."
Although Zhu Zhuqing was clearly confused and surprised by the revelation, she remained surprisingly calm.
"Then... how and why did you come here?"
"I came here because I have a mission to complete. In order to accomplish it, I need to become stronger, and this world happens to be the perfect place for me to do that."
Lev smiled as he saw how calmly she accepted his words.
Honestly, he had expected a much bigger reaction.
Anyone else would probably have thought he was insane after hearing something like this.
With that, Lev slowly began explaining everything to Zhu Zhuqing.
He told her about Earth, the reason he had chosen this world, how he knew so much about it, the True God System, the mission he needed to accomplish, and everything else he felt comfortable sharing.
Throughout the conversation, Zhu Zhuqing asked question after question, and Lev patiently answered each one.
Nearly half an hour passed before Zhu Zhuqing suddenly sat up.
She stared at Lev with a serious expression.
"Then...do you have more women back in your world?"
Lev froze.
Of all the questions she could have asked after hearing that he came from another world, that was the one she chose?
"I never thought that would be what concerned you the most."
Lev couldn't help but smile wryly.
"Well, to answer your question and satisfy your curiosity, I didn't have any lovers back where I came from. You and Tsunade are my first."
He didn't know what to think anymore.
Zhu Zhuqing seemed far more concerned about whether there were other women in his world than the fact that he had literally come from another universe.
"Hmph."
Zhu Zhuqing turned her head away and pouted.
She knew that the more extraordinary Lev became, the more women would inevitably be drawn to him.
And that was precisely what worried her.
She could accept sharing him with Tsunade. After all, she had already come to terms with their relationship.
But knowing that there would probably be more women in the future still made her feel complicated.
Zhu Zhuqing lightly bit her lip as she thought about it.
'Just how many women will there be around him in the future...?'
"Zhuqing, you don't really have to worry. I'm completely sure that many more women will come flocking to him soon. And considering that you're the first woman he took a liking to in this world, that's already a blessing. You can establish your prestige and seniority as the firs—"
Tsunade tried to encourage Zhu Zhuqing after noticing her troubled expression, but before she could finish, Lev immediately reached over and covered her mouth.
"What are you talking about? Huh?"
Lev laughed as he gently flicked Tsunade's forehead.
He knew that this wouldn't be easy for Zhu Zhuqing to accept. Anyone in their right mind wouldn't willingly share the person they loved with countless other women.
Even so, Lev wouldn't force her into anything.
If Zhu Zhuqing ever decided that she couldn't accept such a relationship, he would respect her decision.
Zhu Zhuqing, meanwhile, began seriously thinking about what Tsunade had been trying to say.
Although Tsunade hadn't finished her sentence, Zhu Zhuqing more or less understood where it had been heading.
And, frustratingly enough, it made sense.
Knowing Lev's identity and extraordinary abilities, it was only natural that more and more women would eventually be drawn to him.
If she insisted on stopping things now, perhaps she would be the one left behind in the end.
The thought made her feel complicated.
"Well, enough about that. Let me show you something."
After a while, Lev decided to change the mood.
There was something he hadn't used in quite some time.
He immediately communicated with the system inside his mind.
'System, how many Random Summoning Cards do I currently have in my inventory?'
[The host currently has 14 Random Summoning Cards left.]
'14 are left huh. Just where will I be able to get them?'
Lev was somewhat conflicted..
He had never forgotten to sign in every week, always hoping to obtain some useful supernatural abilities or powerful items.
Unfortunately, luck hadn't exactly been on his side as he never once acquired even something like the Random Summoning Card.
Most of the rewards he had received were things he had little use for.
'Anyways. System, use five Random Summoning Cards.'
[Five Random Summoning Cards have been used.]
Suddenly—
BOOM!
A brilliant light erupted around them, illuminating the entire area as a magic circle appeared on the ground.
Zhu Zhuqing immediately became curious and turned her attention toward the source of the strange phenomenon.
When the blinding light finally disappeared, however, Lev's expression became incredibly ugly.
He stared at the creatures standing before him with disbelief.
'My luck really has something against me.'
Standing in front of them were monsters that looked like they had come straight out of an RPG game.
They were short, ugly, green-skinned creatures with grotesque features.
Goblins.
Five of them.
After being summoned, the goblins cautiously looked around their unfamiliar surroundings before turning their attention toward Lev.
They immediately lowered their heads, waiting for their master's orders.
"Lev, what are those?"
Zhu Zhuqing immediately stood up, her expression becoming serious.
"Are they spirit beasts?"
She instinctively prepared herself to fight.
Their appearance alone made her feel that these creatures were dangerous and hostile.
"Calm down, Zhuqing. They're not dangerous."
Lev quickly reassured her.
"These five are called Goblins. They're newly summoned beings."
He then paused before explaining further.
"I told you that I came from another world, right? This is one of my hidden abilities."
Lev smiled.
"I can summon beings from other worlds, and once they're summoned, they become completely loyal to me as their master."
"Summon?"
Zhu Zhuqing looked confused.
She was still trying to process everything Lev had already told her, and now he had revealed another unbelievable ability.
"Mmm."
Lev nodded.
"By the way, Tsunade was also one of my summons."
He pointed toward Tsunade.
Zhu Zhuqing's eyes widened.
She immediately turned toward Tsunade.
Tsunade simply smiled and nodded.
"That's right."
Zhu Zhuqing's expression became even more complicated.
She had thought she was finally beginning to understand Lev after hearing his story.
Apparently, she had been wrong.
There seemed to be another layer of secrets behind him every time she thought she had reached the end.
Seeing her overwhelmed expression, Lev could only smile.
He then looked at the remaining Random Summoning Cards in his inventory.
He had originally intended to use all of them for the last time, leaving nothing behind.
But after thinking about it, he decided to use only five and leave the rest for another time.
'System, use another five Random Summoning Cards.'
[Five Random Summoning Cards have been used.]
Just like before, a brilliant light suddenly illuminated the entire area.
Lev stared at the light expectantly.
However, considering his previous luck, his expectations were already extremely low.
'Knowing my luck, there's probably nothing useful this time either.'
He sighed inwardly.
'At this point, I'll already be satisfied if I summon something remotely useful.'
After the brilliant light finally vanished, Lev and the others stared at the five newly summoned creatures with wide eyes.
For a moment, confusion and surprise filled their faces.
Standing before them were five incredibly cute and seemingly harmless creatures.
However, appearances could be deceiving.
It was only after checking their statuses that Lev finally realized what he had summoned.
If the five goblins from earlier had been terrible luck, then this time...
He had hit the jackpot.
"Master, what are they?"
Tsunade curiously looked at the five creatures before them.
"They look harmless, but I can sense an immense power within them."
Although the energy they possessed was completely different from both Chakra and the Spirit Power she had acquired after arriving in this world, Tsunade could still clearly sense that it was another form of powerful energy.
Zhu Zhuqing, meanwhile, was staring at the five adorable creatures with sparkling eyes.
She really wanted to reach out and pet them.
However, she knew better than to act without Lev's permission.
So, she simply waited for him to give her the go-ahead.
Unlike the two women, however, Lev was practically bursting with excitement.
His eyes were shining as he looked at the five creatures before him.
'What incredible luck!'
Seeing the joy on their master's face, the five summoned creatures immediately reacted.
They rushed toward Lev as if they wanted to celebrate with him.
Several of them even took to the air, flying straight toward his face before happily wrapping their tiny arms around him.
"Whoa!"
Lev was caught off guard as the adorable creatures clung to him.
Looking at the five beings in his arms, a wide smile slowly spread across his face.
This time...
His Random Summoning Cards had truly rewarded him with a jackpot.
