Pharai
The first morning of "normalcy" started with me in god form and no pants. Again.
"Mer Ek," Suetekh said from the bed, voice still rough and entirely too smug. "We have breakfast in ten. Then lecture."
"I'm aware." I wasn't. I was aware that my shirt was in pieces on the floor and my skin was still glowing faint bronze.
"You shifted three times," he added, stretching. "We should test it again. For science."
"I hate you."
"I know." He grinned. "That's why it's fun."
We shifted back in the shower because Hathor was pounding on the door screaming that "humans do not take hour-long divine showers before teaching undergrads!" So now I was human, damp, drowning in one of Suetekh's button-downs, and he was in jeans and nothing else, hair dripping, looking like a problem the university wasn't ready for.
The kitchen smelled like coffee and disaster.
