Chapter 18 - Chapter 17-The Rain That Never Stops

Rain, patters against a wooden surface. Thunder roams the air as Crimson slowly opens his eyes. His body stiff the thunder jarring as his ears began to properly accommodate sound. Gasps for air as he tries to speak out to the figure shaped like Kessa. Till his blurry vision begins to focus, forming the figure's true self that stands over him. A body made of stone, floating around glowing orbs that work as joints. It's head contained no mouth, no ears, no nose, not even eyes.

It's material body had lines trailing long different parts of the rocks, chips of obsidian etched into different pieces, uneven, underwhelming. It's stony finger gently grazing along Crimson's Ruby. Which was exposed from his chest.

"W-What..." Crimson tried to speak, barely able to get a word out.

The ancient looking creature looked at Crimson, and the lines on its body began to glow the same warm orange color of the orbs.

"Do not worry, Friend. I help." The Creature spoke, matching Crimson's language though not perfect.

"Where, am I..." Crimson's coarse throat made it hard to talk long.

"You are far away from danger, I saved you." The Creature spoke again, this time it's understanding of English was becoming clearer.

"I've been slowly healing you, bring you back to life."

"Did I die?" Crimson's voice fighting to get his sentence out.

However the Creature didn't response instead it took its finger off the Ruby and aimed it at Crimson's throat, apply gentle pressure it's lines began to glow again. Channeled to its finger, simultaneously Crimson feels his vocal ability returning to him.

His eyes widen as the creature slowly returned back to the Ruby.

"How did you do that?" Crimson asked in disbelief.

"As I said, I've been healing you... Both of you." The Creature said turning its expressionless head towards the Ruby.

Crimson looked at it, still feeling repulsed and scared.

"Why is this gemstone attached to my chest?!" Crimson shouted.

"Relax... There is no need for fear. You wouldn't want to wake your friend."

"My friend?" Crimson asked, confused and discombobulated from his amnesia.

"Many memories, many battles as one, and as two."

The Creature raised its finger off the Ruby and turned to walk towards a wooden table behind it. Crimson noticing it's feet were sharp and pointy daggers. This creature had extremely good balance to be walking on nothing but pointed edges.

While at the table, pieces of stone began to levitate from it, and Crimson watched as it began to interchange it's fingers for even pointer ones.

"What exactly are you about to do?" Crimson asked with worry in his heart.

"Trauma has locked away your true self. I simply plan to release you from the shackles."

"Meaning?"

The creature turned its hands held out in front of it, four stony sculpted fingers sharp and pointed like daggers. It moved towards Crimson, Crimson feeling fear as it got closer, causing him to try and move. But his body wouldn't respond.

"Please, remain calm this will not hurt."

"That's easy for you to say, you aren't the one about to be stabbed!" Crimson exclaimed in fear.

The creature reached Crimson's bedside, it's body glowing as it conjured energy to every tipped finger.

"Please, once again. I'm just trying to heal you."

Crimson clenched, shuttering his eyes as The Creature swiftly poked into Crimson before pulling back as if nothing happened. Crimson waited for the pain, yet felt nothing. He slowly began to open his eyes.

"T-That didn't hurt..."

"Precisely, I'm releasing your trauma to heal you." The creature confirmed.

Crimson relaxed, laying still as The Creature continued, this time swiftly jabbing into different points on Crimson's body. It felt random to him, yet to The Creature it was calculated, precise.

Without even asked The Creature knew what Crimson's next question would be.

"Every point I strike, begins to release clotted up energy within your body. You Saiyan's focus more on strength then your energy. Ki stands as your life force. When it is underused, or even overused. It can become stagnant in bunches within your body. I'm simply just releasing what is already there. All your stories written inside your flesh and bones. Will be freed and you will finally break your shackles."

Crimson listened, partly understanding what The Creature meant. However as The Creature continued. Crimson began to see flashes, and feel his mind reconstructing itself. Images of loved ones, battles, friends and foes, memories began to form in bits and pieces. Not whole just fragments.

"You should now begin seeing your true self." The Creature responded, still meticulously poking away at Crimson's Ki points.

Questions and answers came and went inside Crimson's mind as things began to form, Bell, Arako, Ru, Life on the farm, the city, Escar, his father, his mother. Auburn... It began to form into clear and concise stories. Yet one remained, Crimson could only make out the body and clothes, but not the face.

As Crimson's life began to reform, Cassa appeared, the smiles, laughs, and moments with her and another. Continued playing like reels in a movie wheel. But then came tragedy. Cassa's death, Crimson's choice, a devastating event. Crimson's began to cry, but not sob. Tears ran from his eyes, but he remained stale. Staring at the ceiling as if everything he had seen was right there. Like a film in a theater.

Instantly The Creature stopped, realizing Crimson's tears.

"Your memories, are they not... Happy?" The Creature asked

Crimson shook his head gently.

"I must continue, to reach the real you." The Creature stated.

Crimson nodded softly, The Creature stood for a moment considering if it even should. But it knew its objective and followed through. More memories flowed within Crimson's mind, battles against a group of Saiyan's with that unclear person. That unclear person fighting against a God Of Destruction during his wedding. Deaths of all his friends, and the corrupted angel's drastic measure to take up a new body, and successfully doing so. It all played so clear, yet this one individual within Crimson's mind, just wouldn't recover.

Then surely, it happened... Slowly the face of the one Crimson had been missing formed and the last piece of the puzzle placed itself onto the board.

"Okara..."
