The crater left behind by the attack was smoking, and the earth inside had turned to molten magma. Ali scanned the hole for any signs of life.
"Do you see anything?"
By all accounts the beast was dead. It would have been hard for it to escape, but there was still a nagging feeling in the back of Ali's mind.
The ground rumbled and the blue empress called out.
[Behind us!]
The abomination emerged from the earth behind them and have birth to a horde. Whatever it was they were trying to stop it from doing before was now completed, and countless smaller abominations began to crawl out from the holes in its shell.
A giant, monstrous hermit crabs birthing so many smaller crabs was already and unsettling sight. But then they were joined by the fluttering of countless wings.
"H-how are there so many..." Ali's face paled. "Focus on the butterflies, don't let them get near the evacuation site!"
