Chen Mei, wearing a baseball cap, sat on the edge of the thirty-ninth floor, overlooking the buildings below.
Over the years, Da Du has become more prosperous. From this height, the entire district looks like a crown studded with gems, but there is just one area that remains unpolished, appearing very rough. That area has no skyscrapers, only rows of red walls and white tiles, looking quite old and out of place.
That is the old town.
A man stood next to Chen Mei.
Song Ci's gaze fell on the old town, and he said calmly, "Of the entire Da Du, I like that place the most."
"It's a pretty good place."
Chen Mei hadn't visited the old town many times. Things from the last century are preserved there... whether it's the architectural style or the way people interact.
In Da Du, almost no one greets passersby anymore.
But walking in the old town is different.
